    Hello OT!

    I will be leaving the igloo for a few days and landing in Vegas tomorrow until sunday. Staying at the Venetian. It will be my first trip there, so does anyone have any suggestions of what clubs to go to on what nights? What other than gambling and drinking (because i will be doing lots of that) there is to do while there. Good shows, nice restaurants, tourist attractions other than like the welcome to vegas sign, etc etc.

    Any good tips are much appreciated. Ill be checking this sporatically throughout the day as I have a bunch of stuff to do. Like changing my monopoly money for all those green bills that look identical. Should I bring my parka and mittens, or leave them in the igloo? :-)

    Peace out OT.... Oh, and is anyone going to be there this weekend? Im not going to have a ton of time as Im there for a batchelor party, but hopfully I can meet up with a few of you who are there at some point.

    Oh I dont plan on paying. Running away afterwards and hoping the hookers dont catch me has been the plan from day 1.

    If its nice out go for a swim over at chaz's house, I think most people do that when visiting vegas. He will probably grill you up some grub too, win win.

    The Palms has 4 clubs.

    Playboy club - Lounge with black jack tables, couches and playboy bunnies.

    Moon - Above the playboy club. Rooftop bar with 2 levels and a retractable roof. Large central dance floor with stripper poles.
    Ghost - Another rooftop bar. Larger rooftop area and bars outside.

    Rain - More of a techno/house music club. Has pyrotechnics and smoke machines.

    - if you live in canada, leave your jacket at home...temperatures were high 50's-low 40's at night this weekend...i live in so. cal. and a long sleeve was just fine for me

    - def. cosign on the leave your room number in your phone...thats always a good piece of advice which has saved my ass so many times

    - any club at the Palms is super bitching and an insta recommend

    - you MUST find a Fat Tuesdays bar (they're everywhere, just ask) and purchase a yardstick 190 octane...just trust me on that one

    - every night you're there before your last night, leave at least some money in the hotel safe, because there's a damn good chance that you will return to the hotel room with $0.00 in your wallet

    Second the palms, best deal in vegas 4 clubs for 20 dollar cover for guys and they are always popping. Tao and Prive are nice too also Jet is worth checking out. Been said a lot but if you like some beer pong go to O'Sheas always a good time, personally I like starting out the night there then walking the strip for some blackjack and drinks and hitting the clubs. Another tip if you are going with a group of non poker players dont expect to play much poker if at all, when I go for fun I explicitly dont play any and just enjoy partying with some friends. Imo best plan for vegas is no plan just do what you want when you feel like it and have as much fun as possible...

    from what i hear on this forum, after spending one day in the US you will never comeback to canada when realize what you've been missing out on.

    And your hotel! Last time I was there, I walked around Imperial Palace, drunker than shit, for over an hour trying to find my room. I forgot that we were staying at The Flamingo that trip. Ups. Going back in 3 weeks, can't wait!

    Thanks for the info guys. To one of the above posters, Ive been to Fat Tuesday in Cancun, its been a few years but I do remember the yard sticks, although the Octane or whatever doesnt sound familiar. Did not know there were others, other than Cancun and New Orleans.

    The beer pong sounds awesome, where is that place? Def a good idea to hit that place up.

    - beer pong tournaments are thursdays at o shea's which is right smack dab in the middle of the strip
    - the 190 octane is everclear (190 proof pure grain alcohol + orange juice)...1 of those bad boys will get you pretty buzzed/drunk depending on your weight, and two will have you on the floor

    I'm at the Venetian right now...

    If you're looking for a good club, Haze at the Aria was nice.

    Also, just ate at Strip House at Planet Hollywood last night. Our service was very average, but the 16 oz NY strip was the best NY strip I've ever had.

    Grand Lux Cafe or the food court at the Venetian will take care of most of your routine food needs.

    haha good times, good times! cosign on the octanes, thats a right of passage for me every morning i always clear one (always get the extra shot of ever clear).. and definitely always copy your room key so you dont get stuck sleeping on a lobby bench because the room is under your friends name and the hotel clerks have no mercy for your soul!
