So what are the must-eat-at restaurants here in vegas, I've already hit up postrio, trevi, the MGM buffet, tony romas, grand lux, Gonzalez y Gonzalez.
-
Denny's rawks....
You fucking went to Tony Romas while in Vegas? What a waste. -
I had a great steak at "The Range", I believe its in the Harrahs.
And dont forget "Smith & Wollensky". -
The buffet at the Rio is quite impressive.
-
I like tony romas ribs and they don't have any in Chicago so ....
-
you are correct sir adam. I forgot to put that on my list. I will be posting my WAR imitation photo when I get home next weekend
-
Peppermill breakfast
-
Smith and Wollensky's
You wont regret it, although I think they may have one in Chicago but still, the best steakhouse period. Look up the website, it won the best steakhouse in Vegas many years in a row
ENJOY -
I would suggest eating at the Brazillian Steak House in Planet Hollywood Casino. I believe it is called "Pampus" or something like that. My buddies and I seriously ate for over an hour and rolled out of the place. You can't go wrong with this place if you like all different kinds of meat and have time to spare.
-
I hit up "Strip House" in Planet Hollywood in January when I was there.
Excellent steaks, moderate to highly priced though. -

Golden Steer
It's off of Tropicana or Sahara and just off the strip and Not in a casino. It has some of the very best Prime Rib, Steaks and Lobster Bisque in Vegas imo.
It has been around since the 50's. It is very retro inside. Feels like an old mob joint where Sinatra and the boys might go get something to eat after a show. -
In and Out? wow, thats bad. Try Fatburger. Unless you like the McDonalds size patties at In and Out.
Go back to Grand Luxe also. And this Smith & wollensky seems to be on everyones list, so check that out too. -
^^^^ In and out burger FTW
-
Doesnt seem too popular but i really like the Bellagio Buffet, alot more exotic foods than just ur standard buffet. They have a shittt ton of different fish from around the world, king crab legs, great prime rib...my fav buffet in vegas
-
I would skip Smith and Wollensky, you should definitely go there sometime but there is one in Chicago so I would eat there.
While in Vegas, for steak I would go to N9NE in the Palms Casino, best Steak I've had in Vegas and that includes 2 trips to the Vegas Smith and Wollensky. Other great places are Onda in the Mirage, it's a fantastic italian restaurant. Nobu for sushi in Hard Rock (For those of you who have been to Atlantis in the Bahamas, Nobu there and Nobu in Vegas are completely different. The Nobu in Vegas is a top 3 meal I've had in Vegas.) For seafood, I haven't tried as many restaurants but the best one I can remember is SeaBlue in the MGM.
Cliff Notes:
N9NE Steakhouse - Palms Casino
Onda - Mirage (Italian)
Nobu - Hard Rock (Sushi)
Seablue - MGM (Seafood) -
Breakfast/brunch at Bouchon Bakery in the Venetian. Best Ive ever had.
-
I've been to the Smith and Wollensky in Chicago and to be honest, I was not that all impressed. Back home everyone raves about it but my trip was ehhhh. I'm trying to stick to places they dont have back home.
I also didn't care for the Chicago Chop House back home which is also fairly popular.
I do love Lawry's and the Brazilian steakhouse Brazzaz.
Maybe I'll try out that N9NE. Palms and Rio are the only big hotels I havent been at yet -
The Delmonico. If you get the Kobe steak you are getting what many restaurant people think is the finest steak in the world. The cow is raised specifically for the "Delmonico cut" which they invented, and prepared by the finest beef chef around. It's a $75 steak and you'll consider buying another after you're done eating it. You can't pass up a chance to eat what might be the finest steak in the world.
Get the Wallenford estate coffee after you are done, it might be the finest coffee in the world and finding it at a resturant is quite rare. -
i dunno if OTers are just cheap or unaware of greatness...
but over and over people omit the single best place in Vegas
please...i beg you...i will pay for the meal if it is not one of your favorites
Alize in the Palms
the entire experience is just UNREAL
PLEASE
GO THERE and lemme know
(i love Obama also!) -
If you go to Ballys steakhouse dont fall for the ol' " We have a very very special seafood platter for your party, you are gonna love it, OK?
Boom $50 extra a head! str8 swindlers :( -
^^^^^^^^^^ 2nd Delmonico's. FYI it is located in the Venetian. Tip: for any of the restaurants if you do not have a reservation. You can walk up and sit at the bar and order anything off the main menu. I always do this at Delmonico's. BTW try the lobster bisque.

All-around fun - Gilly's at the New Frontier. This place is awesome.....mechanical bull, gorgeous waitresses, huge portions, great food. A must-try for anyone on a Vegas visit.
Chinese - Jasmine at Bellagio - try the duck....unreal. Ping Pang Pong at Gold Coast was decent, and it was much much much cheaper (Jasmine is like $100 per person, PPP was like $10-15)
Japanese - Okada at the Wynn - This is my best dining experience in Vegas so far. The Japanese Kobe steak was unbelievable, and they have a sake menu that's several pages long, filled with delicious adult beverages. The scenery is gorgeous as well. Be prepared to spend...
Mexican - Pink Taco at the Hard Rock. There are probably other good ones I don't know, but I've never had a bad meal at this place
Steak - Eiffel Tower restaurant at Paris or Prime at Bellagio, both are excellent; Eiffel is a little more gourmet, while Prime is just straight up a la carte steak
Buffet - I've had extensive arguments about this, but I like the Rio's the best of the ones I've been to. Wynn and Bellagio are both excellent as well.
lunch - Noodles at Bellagio. This is the only restaurant I've been to every single time I've ever been to Vegas.
breakfast - has to be Binions $1.99 breakfast in their downstairs coffee shop</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table>

For all of you that are in Vegas but not well versed in where to go for "Good Eats" Let me get this list started and lets have other jump in and contribute!!!
1) Bellagio Buffet - if you like King Crab Legs they have them at dinner time! They are served cold but you can pile them on your plate and ask for them to be steamed. Grab a bowl for drawn butter and enjoy!
as a side note since it's over 100 degrees if in the Bellagio go to the Gelato Cafe-fan frickin tastic. Check out the Bikini's by the pool as your gelato cools you off!
2) Hugo's Cellar - Located Downtown at the Four Queens Hotel
Hugo's is one of the classic resaurants in Vegas and still has some of the best
best food anywhere. Fantastic steaks and fish. I like the New York steak, Fillet, or Porter House. Not a bad Idea to split with a friend by ordering 1 steak dinner and another lighter dish. You will be stuffed. It's not cheap. Figure about $65 per person or possibly more depending on how you order and if you are drinking.
3) The Steak House at Circus Circus- Yes! at Circus Circus!!! Believe it or not there is a very classy 4 star steak house in that nightmare of pink hotel. The moment you walk in you will know that place is going to provide you with and excellent meal.
It's one of the more reasonable steak houses around although nothing is cheap anymore compared to a few years ago.
They also have an incredible brunch!
4) Piero's - this is one of Las Vegas's most loved restaurants. In my opinion they aren't as great as they used to be and I haven't been there in 4 years. I'm putting it on the list because some people won't go to Vegas and not eat there out of tradition. Was a hang out of Jerry Tarkanian and the Mob back in the day.
5) Buffet at Paris - O.k . the town is full of Buffet's including the Rio but Paris Buffet is excellent and their poker room when they have a crowd is full of fish. You will like it if you go.
6) Cheap Eats-
Golden Gate Hotel downtown for shrimp cocktail. If you are downtown it's a great deal. I herd they might be doing some construction work there. Soon if not now so don't go out of your way but if you are downtown check it out.
7) Brazillian BBQ- Yolies
Yolies is an old favorite and great for a large group. Located fairly close to the strip near a Ruth's Chris Steak house. Gets rave reviews.
There's ton's more so plenty to add. -
Go to the Super 8 Motel, Ellis Island casino. Go to the resturaunt and get the prime $5.99 prime rib.
Best meal for the money in all of Vegas.
They back behind the Hooters casino -
FTR It's not behind Hooters, lol.
It's behind Bally's/Flamingo on the strip. -
Sushi - Social House at Treasure Island
Try the warm dishes and go with your server's recommendations. -
there is a n9ne in chicago as well, it is quite good
