Vesectomy.....ummm why?

    Just got done talking with a guy at work about how he just had a vesectomy. He is only 34 yrs old and has three young kids. Hes only been married 6 yrs. I asked him why didnt your wife just get her tubes tied instead, he couldnt answer that question lol.

    Would you guys ever do this procedure at such a young age? I mean what if the marriage goes bad and you get a divorce and marry again? Your cant have kids with that woman. That might suck.

    I could never imagine a scenario where I would allow someone to snip at my balls and and get rid of my soldiers permantely.

    I prob ask this question cuz Im 24 and have no kids and dont understand the financial aspect. But still 34 and doing that, seems awful young thats all.

    I would at least have my wife cut her tubes. Before someone was snipping at my balls. lol

    well at 34 she is running out of time to reproduce (naturally) anyways so there is rly no point in her doing it

    Well...my parents had me when they were 35...and I would like to think that is around the oldest of any of my friend's parents when we were growing up. I can't think of any of my friends having parents that were 5+ years other than mine.

    If my wife looked at me and said hunny will you have someone snip at your balls for me, so that we have no more kids. I would look at her str8 in the eye and say G-T-F-O.

    You are def to young to understand that. At 34 with 3 kids you might be getting in line to get snipped.

    Because getting tubes tied is a hell of a lot riskier and more intrusive than the out-patient procedure of vasectomy, which can be reversed.

    riskier, more intrusive, and a LOT more expensive. If he's just a coworker, he probably knows exactly why he did it instead of his wife, but figured it's not really your business.

    I just mean maybe he's comfortable telling you had a vasectomy, but maybe not comfortable talking about his wife's/marriage decisions like "why."

    According to my dad's doctor, it causes erectile dysfunction in up to 25% of males who have it done. So not only could you not have any more kids with the 22 year old busty blonde you got for dumping your wife, you couldn't get it up to keep her. gg sex life after marriage

    btw, dad told me this story on the way to a hunting trip, started talking about having problems, etc. I wanted open the truck door and throw myself off the bridge we were crossing.

    Because most of the time it is a simple surgery instead of your wife having major surgery. Also at 34 with three kids he most likely doesn't want to have anymore. Our second child is due Dec 3rd and I know that's the last child I am ever going to have barring some major change in my thought process. I plan on getting it snipped at 30 or so. I want to give it sometime to sink in. Plus vasectomies are easier to reverse than a tubal is.
