  1. Glad somebody has some fucking balls; according to author Rich Miniter (former Wall Street Journal reporter) in new book, Obama waffled and canceled the mission 3 different times, fearing something could go wrong which would lead to him being blamed.

Allegedly, Obama is heavily influenced by his wife, by Hillary, and by advisor Valerie Jarrett; Jarrett opposed the missions; Hillary continuously strongly spoke out for the mission over and over in weekly meetings, and knew his presidency would be DOA had he passed on OKing the mission to be carried out. In the end, after even aborting it once by saying the weather was too poor (which is clearly disputed by the US Air Force Combat Meterorological Center's report) Obama knew Hillary was ultimately right.

If true, pretty funny that he's made this such a strong element in his re-election campaign.

Hillary Clinton should've been the nominee all along, and the Democrat machine owes her an apology. Thank you Hillary.

They are exerpts from a book written by a former Wall Street Journal reporter named Rich Miniter; unless you are saying the Post actually made up a book that doesn't exist, not sure what they have to do with it.

  5. Mmmmmmmm waffles
  6. So what...he ultimately made the decision and successfully carried it out. To think that every President doesn't have advisers and think tanks is ridiculous.
  7. I mean, have you seen Barack and Michelle joint interviews? Turns out he is the definition of a beta.
  8. Obama is a shitty leader. Period.
  9. but...but...he lead the mission to get obl! OBL is dead and GM is alive!
  10. wafflers gonna waffle
  11. twitter promoted a tweet today from the Obama reelection campaign subcommittee, ORCS for short, saying that, "Romney and Ryan want to raise taxes on 95% of you!"
  12. And here I was thinking he had trained the seal team, built the helicopters, devised the mission plan and wrote his correspondents' dinner jokes all by himself.

  13. Bill Clinton fails to get Bin Laden, Rich Minter writes a book about how shitty that was.
George W Bush leads us into two wars after 9/11, Rich Minter writes a book about how awesome the War on Terror is. Osama Bin Laden lives in a pretty nice house in Pakistan.
Obama gives the go-ahead on Navy Seal mission to get OBL, Rich Miniter writes a book about how you can't give him any credit for that because he actually thought about it first. NY Post pounces. New swiftboat group attacks Obama saying he takes too much credit an puts them in danger..
    Seems legit.

PS - if the mission HAD gone terribly wrong, Obama is getting no blame for it right?
  14. Aw who cares about this substantive commander in chief stuff, I want to know which Congressman said something crazy about rape.

I lol'd, then thought "lol what if they really tweeted that?" then saw "ORCS" and lolled again, then googled it and holy fucking shit they really did say that. blatant lies are blatant

You think maybe it shows that Hillary was possibly a little more well prepared for making the types of unpleasant decisions that a president has to make?

I think it shows Hillary loves to kill shit.

I guess we should all vote her instead of Obama this term... I for one like the waffler in office more than the waffler running against him. Vote thrid party!
  18. I like presidents who need to think twice and sometimes a third, fourth and fifth time before sending in people to kill other people.
  19. I mean I would have to read the book and get full story. It seems Obama and the people he surrounded himself with got to a place where they made a decision that led to getting Osama. Perhaps Hillary would have ok'd the mission earlier and it either would or wouldn't have worked. Who knows?

  20. I remember a time when if the potus invaded a sovereign country to murder someone with no trial it would have been an outrage. besides, doesn't killing terrorists cause terrorism? is obama prepared for the blowback??!!??
  21. Who does this Obama guy think he is taking his advisers input on important decisions?

If he couldn't have thought through it enough to make a decision about it during their months and months of meeting with every military expert we have, and countless hours discussion leading up to the missions that he called off 3 separate times, then he absolutely should not be Commander in Chief.

I remember a time when Republicans were saying Obama would be "soft on terror."
  24. Even Bush consulted his advisers (and influential texts) before acting after the 9/11 attacks. Here is photo evidence:

  25. it was a gutsy call regardless, gutsiest call in history

killing innocent civilians, and detaining them for months on end at BIAP and Abu Ghraib creates terrorists... invading a sovereign country creates terrorists... sending in a seal team to kill one man and those protecting him only pisses off terrorists.

Every week Tony Romo has hours and hours of preparation to get ready for the other teams defense while surrounded by some of the best football minds in the world yet he continues to fail each and every season. He checked down wide open receivers 3 separate times in his last playoff game. He absolutely should not be the Cowboys QB.
  28. at the end of the day, he obviously should have gone through a different decision making process...because the result was horrible. oh wait.

yup. and to be fair, I don't think obama was just lying the whole time he attacked bush for the things obama would continue to do, I think once he gotthe job he realized his idiotic campaign rhetoric was nonsense.
