Lots of stuff to digest here. I'm going to half-heartedly google some stuff on the bold

No it wasn't the gutsiest call in history. If you have the intel he is there, it is a snap fucking decision to go in!
Clueless as usual. To a lot of people over there, OBL was a hero because of the damage he inflicted on USA soil. No Muslim has ever been able to inflict that kind of damage on our soil. Did you not see on tv how many people over there were celebrating that we got attacked?
Plus the fact we went inside Pakistan borders without permission will have Muslim's that hate us thinking "the USA continues to think they can invade other countries to kill our people anytime they want". That is going to create more hate towards us, thus creating more terrorist.
If you think otherwise, you're delusional!
As NJC said, link? I find it incredibly hard to believe there was only a 50% chance at most that he was there considering the amount of time all of the planning and prep. that went into the mission. I'm not sending in a seal team in this kind of mission without 90% or higher confirmation he is there!
Obama is a gutless President. They had confirmation he was there or all of the months it took to plan this raid (the planning on this just didnt happen overnight), would have been a waste of time.
The doctor that helped us catch OBL is now sitting in a prison for the next 30 years. Why hasn't Obama gone in to free him? If it wasn't for this guy, there is a good chance OBL would still be alive. Fucking gutless President!
I even wonder if the Obama administration even paid this guy for the information? Wasn't the reward in the millions (something like $50 million) for "information leading to the capture/killing of OBL"??
Fucking Obama nutswingers in here! -
Bush was vilified for waiting 7 fucking minutes before doing anything about 9/11 while not having any details, Obama gets a pass for waiting.. well, longer than 7 minutes, while having all the info he had because he was afraid he might look bad.

really man? spin a terrorist attack by one group to invade another country that all your intel has told u has nothing to do with the attack and doesn't have WMD's. Maybe he should have waffled, but of course invading Iraq was never about terrorism anyway. -
LOL @ the people itt saying shit like "snap call" and "easy decision" when talking about this raid. Apparently, we got some mutherfukin high level military planners/national security advisers/joint chiefs of staff up in this place, yo!
I have to agree with pluv, no real issue here. Presidents listen to many advisers. President do worry about their image, especially first term presidents who want to one day become second term presidents. Is Obama really concerned about his own image? Sure he is. Look no further than Shirley Sherrod having to pull over along the road to receive a phone call basically ending her employment because "she was going to be on Glenn Beck tonight". LoL, I mean, how pathetic was that?
As for Obama "taking credit now" for the raid, who the fuck wouldn't??? You think a republican president wouldn't take credit for that during his re-election? If you believe that a republican would not do the exact same thing, you must live in disneyland.
Oh and let's not forget, the author could be just plain ol' full of shit.
But hey, if it is all true, and Obama really is this total pussy who is so afraid of tarnishing his image it took Hillary nagging the fuck out of him like she undoubtedly nags Bill, well I've got good news for everyone - she may be president in 2016. So rest easy, some serious wyatt earp/chuck norris balls will probably enter the oval office soon. We just gotta wait a few more years. -
Ginwilly goin all Norcal itt - stir the pot
surprised there's no thread about Syria suddenly announcing that they want to discuss the resignation of Assad - once again, Obamanator flexes his muscles and people run. Dude is a bully. -
Everybody is only talking about the image of Obama if the mission failed and completely ignoring the real life implications in the international community--ones that existed even with a successful mission. It's a lot more complicated than "snap call"

And of course it's a snapcall. Easiest call ever. -

ftr, i give Obama a lot of credit for the way the mission was handled, I wish our entire "war on terror" was a special ops thing, not a 100k troops thing. -

Anthony Blinken, Biden's national security adviser heard the news shortly thereafter.
In an interview with Bergen, Blinken was somewhat surprised of the decision.
"I thought, 'Man, that is a gutsy call," Blinken told Bergen. "First, we don't know for sure bin Laden is there; the evidence is circumstantial. Second, most of his senior advisors recommended a different course of action."

Some of the analysts who assessed the intelligence put the chances as low as 60%. -

fwiw, many of my arguments with conservatives over the Iraq war centered on Iraq's "role" in 9/11. According to these experts, there was undeniable evidence that Sadam knew and allowed a terrorist linked to 9/11 to set up terrorist training somewhere in Iraq (no details, of cours) and some other high-level Iran govt agent helped another 9/11 terrorist in Indonesia get a student discount at the town's movie theater. Or something -
Iraq had a role in 9/11? Says who?

Obama was called out for not being a good Comm. in Chief, even tho he got Osama. I would think that had he called for a mission that failed, it just may have been used as an example of him being an awful Comm. in Chief.
This was in reply to you or whoever said it would have been fine if he tried and failed. Again I say this bc in reality he tried, was successful and is being called inept. -
here's a wiki for you ncj:

in b/f you're still waiting on an Iraq-Osama connection -

This really goes without saying, but our country could have presumably been under attack, he should not even have been allowed to continue reading that book by the secret service. -
really? I found him very hesitant to pull the trigger. Maybe if my sn had been Osama...

I always found that a little strange, too, to be more worried about how it would look to the class and cameras, vs. having the CIC in the war room. Someone had to be calling shots here? Who sent the first fighter jets up? -
wait a minute now, using your own logic in this thread, those kids weren't attacked so everything worked out in the end. Criticizing him for waiting 7 whole minutes wouldn't make sense to you if you were consistent.

IF one of these fags who runs this country would just level that whole region it would get me to get off my ass and try to vote.
