Awesome pic. Also they said on the coverage a win brings him back to #1.
-
goddammit tiger win a major so you can shut every hater up
-
he's ranked #1 in the world.
-
Why? Tiger winning an event with the weakest field of the year? Or him beating 2 no names on Sunday? Lol. I guess people will always say he is back and not but until he actually wins under pressure it should be a moot point. One guy went bogey bogey par and one shot 77. And my reasoning for hate on tiger is not race or jealousy. It's because he a pos who lies about everything and a phony. Has been doing this since junior golf. Dudes a thug outside the media. He is scum. But he is the best golfer right now and has been since 2008. Will never be the greatest tho. -
I just wanna say...

In Fed Ex cup points yes. This from PGAtour.com "Woods remains at No. 4 in the world, though this win at least gives him a mathematical chance to get back to No. 1 at the final two majors of the year."

Damn you Wretchy! lol -
How can you take anyone serious who thinks he isn't the greatest ever, come on now. By far the most dominant golfer of the most talented golf generation ever. Also it is pretty well known that Phil Mickelson is a much bigger phony than Tiger, as well as Arnold Palmer, so don't act like he is alone in that regard

Tiger Woods has won 27% of all PGA TOUR events he's played in. Nicklaus won 12%, Palmer 8%, Mickelson 8% & Singh 7%.
-
actually read that stat in golf digest like 30 mins ago (was june issue so a little diff but still like 26) and was shocked it is still that high
any idea on snead's % quick google search didnt seem to have it at the top -

Everone know Arnold was a ladies man but media brushed it under the rug. The people that think he isn't the greatest are old timers who somehow think their generation was better than today's golfers, when it is not even comparable. Oh and that stat Waco posted says it all that's amazing. -

Level of competition during their prime by most PGA Wins....
Of the PGA Tour Players with most wins, Tiger has played against #9, 13, 33, 42, 51, 70. Jack has played against #5, 7, 11, 14, 19, 19, 23, 25, 27, 29, 33, 33, 38, 38, 42, 48, 51, 63, 63, 70, 70, 70.
With that, Phil and possibly Ernie are the only ones who can pad their wins and they are winning at a 1-2 per year ratio and can only do that for about 5 more years max.
Also the 12% is flawed. Nicklaus playing well over 15 events a year in the mid 40's(barring miraculous Masters) and 50's where he had no chance of winning. -
it really must suck to be that much of a hater. just let it go, IDK what TW has done to you persoanally, but get over it.
-
Good point about Nicklaus 12%
-
copy/paste fail. not even gonna bother. Go Tiger!

Reason: fk it -
For the record. Tiger is officially #4 in the WGR today. Not #1.
-
For the record, that was already cleared up 13 hours ago
-
and for the record the WGR take into account a 2 year 'rolling' period of tournaments. Next year this time Tiger is undoubtedly world #1 again. If not this year after he ships another tourny and a major.
-
FYI the last few years of pga tour starts/wins for jack - zee has a good point about the % based on all of those zeros but too lazy to do math for first 17 years. pretty obv it is a lot closer than 27 to 12 for %s while good. Plus tiger will never play when old to help tour like Jack did because tiger is a selfish prick.

22.6% for The Bear through the same time span while playing tougher competition as seen in the players played against with total tour wins.

Not really a good stat to look at yet. Once Tiger reaches 300 tourneys we should revisit it. He is at 271.
