Our highways are in horrid shape despite massive tax dollars pumped into DOT each year.
Our schools are ranked dismally among developed countries.
Our troops are handcuffed at every corner by dumb politicians who would shit their pants if they were in a fox hole for one second. Ex., Vietnam and Afghanistan.

When we do use our military some politician in Washington goes against what the commanders on the field say, and voila you have a Vietnam/Afghanistan. Government gets involved it is a bad thing. You'll never convince me otherwise.
