    Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston sure look a little bored with each other in this May 27, 2009 photo.

    It just wasn't meant to be.

    Star-crossed BFFs Mile Cyrus and Justin Gaston have apparently called it a day less than a year after they started dating.

    USMagazine.com says the two split for good on Sunday.

    "They have been having trouble for a while," an insider told US. "It's been hard for a long time since Miley has been working so much and traveling a lot."

    But here's the juicy part: a Jonas may be involved.

    While the website's source says Nick Jonas "was not the reason for the split," the source adds that "Miley and Nick are working on a couple different projects together [and] Justin has been a little jealous of that."

    Cyrus, 16, also told US this past weekend that she and Gaston, 20, would be parting ways for the time being anwyay as she went to work on a new film.

    "He's got his own thing going on," Cyrus told the magazine. "But I am just continuing to work hard."

    Why would this guy Gaston or whatever even risk dating Miley Cyrus (if they have been dating for a year, she would have been 15 and him 19 when their relationship began)? If things were to to go sour and Miley or Billy Ray pressed charges against him, he could be in a world of hurt.
