Sort of true, but not 100%. You need to look at your matchup and see what you are up against. If you are projected as a big favorite, then definitely just play the best options, but if you are projuected to lose and need some upside to have a chance then don't have your QB play your D. Gamble it up. -

It also limits downside so unless you are in a situation like matt described, you shouldn't worry about it. -
Pitta
Witten
Tamme
1 PPR. Which one? -

I used to subscribe to this philosophy but it's burned me so many times and when I finally did the math I figured out that it was much more important to accumulate as many stats as possible.
Upside should only be important when the difference in talent is super close imo. -
ill post it here too, not sure why there are 2 threads

I would not do that trade. You are giving up your rb depth. Donald brown and Kevin smith can not be trusted. If one of your top three go down you'll need a solid back to plug in. Magehee is legit and your wr's are serviceable. I'd be playing three backs and two receivers every game if I were you.

I would never sit ap normally but if those are your two options then I would lean toward bowe since it is ppr. The chiefs are going to be playing catch up and be forced to abandon the run. Bowe will see a lot of targets and a line around 6/90/1 is very feasible. That's my .02
-
Which of these four sit? Ppr
McCoy vs Az
Murray vs Tampa
Mathews vs atl
Richardson vs buffalo
As of now I have Richardson as the odd man out but am leaning toward possibly pulling Murray to get him in my lineup. -
Edited By: qjuice14 Sep 23rd, 2012 at 05:17 AMmy team is pretty good. I won't be sitting Bowe every week but he won't be starting either. probably should start him over thomas this week anyway with thomas going up against houston. This is a 10 team, 2 QB, ppr league:Originally Posted by Chrono
never sit AP. you must have a sick team to sit Bowe every week. Or just in a weird league
QB: Cam
QB: Peyton
WR: Cruz
WR: D. Thomas
RB: Murray
RB: Lynch
TE: Gonzalez
W/R/T: AP
Bench: Bowe, LaFell, Ogletree, Andre Brown, Beanie, Mendenhall, Ryan Fitzpatrick
I threw out some trade offers this week to try and upgrade at QB and was countered with a couple offers that upgrade me at TE. Yahoo projections have both trades giving me a small plus but it just feels wrong to give up so much depth to upgrade from a 3-5 TE to a 1-2 TE and I could be hurting if I lose a RB, especially in trade 2.
Trade 1: I give AP, Brown, and Gonzalez. I get Gronk, McGahee, and Redman
Trade 2: I give up Murray and Gonzalez, I get Graham
probably shouldn't be posting the trades here b/c its a p5's league, but wgaf? -
Neither of these trades will benefit you in the long run. Trade one you are giving up 3 starters for 2, redman is waiver wire fodder. Trade two is essentially the same thing 2 starters for 1. Gonzalez is producing as a #1 and will continue to do so in atl new uptempo offense under dirk cutter. I'd stick with your team as is and ride it out for the season. I mean what more do you want out of a te, he has a td is each of his games thus far and is a legit redzone/goaline target, esp w turner playing as bad as he has

I agree with this, I just cannot stand fitzgerald so far and am just afraid that he'll never produce numbers this year

I have an offensive position to fill. Choices are Ridley, Palmer, Decker, McFadden, Moore. Already starting Murray, M Bush at RB. Would u switch any rb? At WR I'm starting Wallace and Avery, QB Big Ben. No ppr, and throwing tds are 4 pts w bonuses for over 300 yds passing and over 100 rushing. Which player for the OP?

WR:

Dez bryant or Reggie Wayne? -
Am I crazy/overthinking things to consider benching Matt Ryan (playing @ San Diego) in favor of RGIII (playing Cinci @ home)? 6pts per throwing TD, mad bonuses for long TDs & total yardage
-
I'm in the exact same dilemma. Idk what the right play is but pretty sure I'm rolling with Matty ice
-
It looks like s jax is gonna play but don't really know how effective he will be, and if hell even see the bulk of carries. So do I roll him out or go with his backup Richardson..have no.other rb options so have to go with one of em
