  1. Too lazy to do another power rankings,

But Leafs update for everyone to complain about:
5-0-1 in last 6 games, moved over the Sens for 7th in the East.
And they have officially moved up to 29th in the league on the penalty kill (ty Columbus)

Given the bad break with the non-goal it Pitt the leafs caught 2 big breaks tonight with a no-goal on Edmonton and a good-goal with Lupul catching the puck and moving it.

Biggest game of the week is obviously Toronto vs Winnipeg tomorrow for OT bragging rights.

Just saw this on sportsnet, expected that Leafs/Red Wings will play in Ann Arbor next year for the winter classic and they will use Comerica for the alumni game.

  2. Canucks don't really have much going on this week. Tough test in a surprising Nashville and a game vs Calgary. Meh at best.

Over Xmas break tho, I told my brother, dad, and roomate to look out for Anaheim down the stretch. They're going to make a run for the 8th seed in the West and would be a very fucking dangerous team if somehow they sneak in. Personally I think the've dug themselves too big of a hole to get out of, however, throw in a lil 5 game winning streak and they're right back in it.
  3. Owen Nolan retired. He was a force to play against back in the day. He woulda been a good fit on the Flyers

  4. Rangers Devils start the game with two simultaneous fights at the faceoff.

  7. nabokov owning flyers right now. not sure it lasts much longer...
  8. ottawa and florida losing. those are the 2 teams ive targeted as basically are only hopes of catching and sneaking into the playoffs.

jets leafs game very entertaining 1st period. pretty much game 7 for the jets. need 2 pts or its almost lights out here.

  9. Rangers being Rangers again. Got shutout by Brodeur. Worst PP maybe in the history of NHL. Wouldn't surprise me to see them fighting to get into playoffs by end of year. They are only 10pts out of 8th. They are getting nothing out of Richards/Dubinsky. Way to waste another stellar effort by Henrik. And the call at the end of game was shaky but whatever. They had tons of chances to tie it up.

nyr = smoke and mirrors IMO. aside from the solid team D + henrik of couse
  11. flyers could be the worst shoot-out team in the history of OT shoot-outs...on both sides.
  12. what a win for my islanders. .500 baby!

its kinda ridiculous at this point. Why doesnt the coach see Bobrovsky is better in the SO? 45 saves by Nabby was pretty impressive. Most exciting goalless game I've seen

maybe since SO's were implemented, but this season my blues are a tad worse and the canadians take the cake. good thing playoff games aren't settled by shoot-outs, but fuck its so tilting to lose every shoot out, especially when your goalie gets you to the 5th round without a goal.

in other news, blues get a road win tonight. keep em comin boys

  15. Why does a game between Nabokov and Bryzgalov produce zero goals, but the game between Rinne and Luongo have six goals?

    So frustrating

Brodonk's 1st shutout of the season too.
  18. great night for the jets

  19. The only stream I could find for the game was the tsnjets channel. Chance how the F do you put up with that play-by-play guy's voice? I was watching parts of it in mute cause I just couldnt take it.

  20. beyak is better than bowen imo., and he was the leafs radio guy for the past 15 years lol how the fuck does a hardcore leaf fan not know that. and u dont have SNE. wtf?

  21. yea that call at the end was questionable, but in my biased opinion, it was a goody. dont think gaborik was really pushed into marty at all.

    marty gonna henrik

devs gonna win 5 in a row (2 vs rangers, 1 vs philly, 1 vs pitt)

  24. I wish Nolan would've made the Canucks this year. Always liked that guy. Far and away best Nolan moment imo:
