There are Crosby rumblings again, which probably won't ever end, and quite frankly are getting old and annoying. Malkin right now is playing some of the best hockey of his career.

Interesting games:
Battle of Ontario is always fun and anyone who thought this game would be meaningful (playoff wise) is lying
Washington and Florida play each other for the top of the South-Least division.
There is a good test for the resurgent LA Kings as they play Vancouver this week

Saturday is the massive game between the Rangers and Bruins for the top spot in the East.
Then only 4 hours later San Jose visits Vancouver.

Don't have a good feeling for my Bruins vs the Rangers. They looked really flat last night, even thought they won, they should have handled Florida a lot easier especially with Clemmensen in net. The Rangers game will be the 4th in 6 days and they will still be without Marchand. There will be a lot of hype for this game, but Im afraid it won't live up to it.

Bruins @ Flyers Sunday and Caps-Pens only cuz these two r tied for pts in the 7th and 8th seed out East.

I think we see the upper echelon teams start to break away from the pack in the next 2 weeks and I'll say we don't see a star player get moved before the ASG

Who here say the fight between Dion Phaneuf and Nick Foligno. The refs called some random minor on Dion during the fight, I didnt see any reason as to why he deserved an extra two. This is the exact problem that Brian Burke was talking about. Foligno takes what Dion thought was a cheap shot earlier, so later in the game they settle their disagreement, all is over, done with, neither dropped their gloves early and it was a pretty even fight.

But Dion getting an extra two? Why? It just doesnt make sense, someone does what he thinks is a cheapshot and has to just let it go. If he jumped Foligno to get back at him then I can understand the extra but come on.

If refs start giving out an extra two in a fight for that there is going to be more and more cheap shots because players know that if someone wants to retaliate they are going to take an extra minor.

2nd Ottawa goal should have been disallowed, they even said it was a kick, but because Spezza moved it a centimeter the goal counts on a technicality. He didn't direct a puck going wide or add momentum to a puck that wouldnt get to the net, or tip it around the goalie. Some guy kicked the puck at an open net and because he ticks it is a good goal? Such BS. Not to mention he was interfereing with Reimer, he had his left leg wrapped around Reimer's left pad.

And the 3rd goal was just awful, goaltending letting us down again.

Great W for the Kings tonight and solid 3-game trip to Canada getting 5 of 6 points. The offense is starting to show some life, and Quick has been great all year. 4 game homestand against 3 subpar teams + Ottawa gotta get healthy and solidify our playoff positioning before February when we're on the road for almost the whole month.

How bad is Luongo at shootouts? I said to my roomate, "I'd fucking put Schneids in. Even cold. Luongo is sooo awful at shootouts". Like fuck.

At the same time my girlfriend texted me, "Canucks shootout. Can't watch. Luongo is shit. Back to storage wars marathon, yuuuupppp!"

Yeah Hall is a clown off the ice. My little brother got jumped in Nanimo and had a scar like that across his face. 2 plastic/nerve surgeries later it's basically completely gone. So with Hall's money I'm sure he'll get it looked after in the offseason just fine.

My buddies Gf knows RNH, and apparently he's a huge cheapskate. He doesn't like going out for dinners to the keg because they're too expensive he says. Lol. At least he's grounded. I'm sure once he gets accustomed to the paycheques things will change.
