stamkos with the sedins better be a line. leafs suck leafs suck leafs suck
-
kessel and lupul are gonna put on a show imo
-
Kessel and Seguin on the same line would be funny. Giroux and the Sedins would be pretty awesome. Datsyuk + Malkin + random 3rd donk star would be pretty sick. And I imagine the there will be an all Senators line with Alfredsson, Spezza, and Michalek.

I don't get the random day off from the festivities today. Hasn't there been a young stars game in the past? Personally like the offensive star power on team Chara more. Defense means nothing when u can't be physical and people are gonna be getting undressed left and right.

Lupul and Chara forgot that you need to pick 4 centers
All they have by my count is Datsyuk, Malkin, (Seguin plays RW I think) -
EDIT, shit didn't paste well. I'll try again later.

maybe I missed a backstory but this seems like an over reaction :p

OT fantasy hockey league...I ran some numbers to see what the projected final standings would look like based on 2 assumptions:
Edited By: slapshot Jan 28th, 2012 at 02:15 AM
#1 - everyone achieving max games
#2 - maintaining the same points per game average as of today
Current standings as of today 1/27/2012:
(doesn't paste very well)
Rank Team Points
1 Maryland Snipers 1565.00
2 Grey Geese 1417.05
3 Finkle Is Einhorn 1411.60
4 slapshot 1368.80
5 The FMXers 1322.70
6 kellykip 1306.95
7 DBo Fo Sho 1293.10
8 Dallas Destroyers 1290.85
9 Reservoir Dogs 1262.25
10 Holy Mackinaw! 1217.50
11 GraboGraboGrabo 1186.10
12 Sparty Rules 968.30
Projected final standings:
(Max games @ current points per game avg)
Rank Team Projected
1 Maryland Snipers 2426.99
2 Grey Geese 2415.31
3 Reservoir Dogs 2341.07
4 Finkle Is Einhorn 2329.9
5 slapshot 2302.51
6 Dallas Destroyers 2227.2
7 kellykip 2207.8
8 The FMXers 2177.34
9 DBo Fo Sho 2169.07
10 GraboGraboGrabo 2027.75
11 Holy Mackinaw! 2025.1
12 Sparty Rules done
I wouldn't read too much into this tho because obv the two assumptions won't hold exactly true. Some positions probably won't reach max games (Blonde's goalies, for example). Injuries could be a factor, especially the way this year has been crazy with injuries. And just plain old run good/bad variance points per game will be the biggest factor.
It just sort of puts things into perspective tho since some teams are way ahead in games played and some are behind a little. Holy Mackinaw (TMLMS) will probably do better than projected because he took over for a team that quit (if I remember right) and has been moving up. I took out Sparty from the projected standings since it looks like he quit a while ago.
I like Grey Geese's chances of catching Maryland Snipers.
gl the rest of the way. -
grabo is going to be way over on games played with all forward spots.
Edited By: TMLMS13 Jan 28th, 2012 at 02:49 AM
I was in 12th by like 100 points when I took over.
even if Maryland Snipers runs out of games early I still think he can hang on he has such a stacked team. -
I think the score will be 8-7, and to winning team will come back from 7-5 down in final 4 minutes. They should just make the all star game the outdoor game imo.
-
ya, i fucked up the forward spots. I loaded up on ducks and leafs and when getz/ryan slumped it hurt me a lot

From twitter earlier this evening:
@JLupul Joffrey Lupul
Gary Bettman just told me I handled the boo's very well last night... And that's coming from an expert in that field. -
http://espn.go.com/nhl/allstar2012/s...-all-star-game
The Columbus Blue Jackets will host the 2013 NHL All-Star Game.Commissioner Gary Bettman made the announcement Saturday at the Board of Governors meetings.
The Blue Jackets, who play at Nationwide Arena, had applied for hosting rights in 2013, 2014 or 2015. Next year's All-Star Weekend will be Jan. 26-27 and will mark the third straight year a city has hosted the game for the first time. -
How embarrassing if they can't even get one of their own players in. I'm under the assumption Nash gets moved before then. What a brutal choice.
-
I'm not trying to defend the choice of Columbus. But at least they tried to get another high end player to take some pressure of Nash. It failed but at least they tried.

Matt Cooke
Sean Avery
Dale Hunter
Ulf Samuelsson
Dany Heatley
Chris Simon
Darcy Tucker (as hard as that is to say)
just off the top of my head

lol in the player introductions, Scott Hartnell just gave the Jagr Salute to the crowd -
I don't mind the ASG for what it is. It's a chance for the players to unwind, have some fun and show off their lighter side a bit.
-
Holy fuck just noticed this is on NBC sports and not NBC.
Fucking kill yourself slowly Gary Bettman you fucking peice of human garbage. -

This exactly. It's the best asg of any major sport. That skills comp was like watching a bunch of kids have fun, I enjoyed the hell out of it. -

BTW how awesome is Chara? that 108.8 mph slapshot was incredible. A 106.2 and a 107.0 to back it up. I would hate to be the defender in front of the net when that dude winds up.
and Lupul on the other wing. It's going to be wierd since Seguin isnt a center, but with the team Chara picked they dont have many centersOriginally Posted by slapshot
Kessel/Seguin line is happening, haha...
