Was watching an old episode of Cops the other day. They were going around trapping drug dealers. The undercover guy was dressed like a bum and starts talking to a homeless girl in the bushes. He initiates conversation and asks her if she knows where to get some crack and she says yeah. They get somebody to bring some crack, she says she just wants a hit for helping. Deal goes down, they arrest everybody and the cops are bragging about what a good day it is to get 2 drug dealers off the street. Hey you dumb mother fuckers the homeless girl living in the bush isn't a drug dealer, nice setup, nice charge. Justice!

Sergeant under investigation after videotaped hair pull incident
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A distraught woman whose house was on fire, and who was being pulled away from the fire by her husband, had her hair pulled by a San Diego police sergeant in a videotaped incident that prompted an internal police investigation Sunday.
San Diego police Lt. Andra Brown told U-T San Diego "due to allegations arising from this incident, we are conducting an internal investigation into the matter," and because it was a personnel matter police could not make further comment.

Two things that stood out from the video:
1. She took a swing at the cop
2. SD is overpopulated -

Many people were outraged this summer after a private investigator, with ties to a law firm that represents 120 police unions in California, made an apparently false report to the cops claiming that a councilman in the Orange County, California, city of Costa Mesa stumbled out of a bar drunk and was weaving all over the road as he drove home. The clear goal was to embarrass a councilman who had been leading the charge in his city for pension reform, outsourcing, and other reforms. Two councilmen in Fullerton, Bruce Whitaker and Travis Kiger, are experiencing disturbing attacks similar to the ones that Righeimer experienced. The Fullerton police union is angry at the role those men played in demanding reform in the wake of the horrific 2011 beating death by officers of a homeless man named Kelly Thomas.

The parents of a 16-year-old suicidal boy spoke only with CBS Atlanta News' Wendy Saltzman after their son was gunned down by a police sniper in Cherokee County in May. Lisa and Nick Messina said their son was killed at the hands of the officers they called for help. According to his parents, Andrew Messina had a bad day at school and the pressure was so overwhelming, he grabbed a gun and threatened to kill himself. Lisa Messina called the cops in desperation, hoping an officer would come talk to him. But what arrived was an army of deputies, an armored tank and a sniper.

that is fucked up

Odds that OneM posts a link in here now that he is a free man?

yeah right

Always got the impression that he was more open minded about the dangers of rampant police abuse than most LEO. -
I made that thread last week about my friend's suicide attempt. I didn't include that a family friend arrived on the scene first and then the EMTs. after that the fatass cop showed up and made the comment to the paramedics, "thank god you guys showed up so I didn't have to bend down and give him CPR."

Come on dude. The cops handle that with minimal force. No injuries to a big guy who resisted from first contact.
Successful arrest that could of been over in 5 minutes if suspect had cooperated. -
Kennedy Garcia, 23, was one of a group of suspected graffiti vandals in the process of being arrested and handcuffed by police on Oct. 12 when he reportedly took off running. The police called for backup, and two officersin the South L.A. neighborhood spotted him trying to crawl under an SUV. They dragged him out by the ankles and, although he was reportedly lying on his stomach with his hands cuffed behind his back, saw something metallic that they mistook for a gun. Both opened fire, and Kennedy was critically wounded after being shot in the back. He was not armed.

The LAPD released info on the shooting and failed to mention that the victim was handcuffed and lying prone. Just another uncooperative perp. -
