  1. Sending this message out to about 15-20 friends and family. Hoping they come up with something creative/fun to keep me on track but if they can't and ask me for ideas, I want something good to put on the line. Its kind of lame, but I like this as a motivational tool, just don't have anything specific off the top of my head. Any ideas?? ftr i'm 6'1, 25yo

    "This message is going out to a limited number of friends & family to have a little fun while helping me stay extra motivated this upcoming year to reach my ultra cliche 2012 New Years Resolution. As probably 90% of all peoples' resolution is, mine is about weight loss, but at least it will have a twist.

    Towards the end of 2010/beginning of 2011, I weighed an embarrassing 330 lbs at one point (fat ass). As most of you noticed though, I've dropped a considerable amount since then and I've been hovering around 250 lbs for roughly a month now. My new goal for 2012 is going to be tough, but with your help to stay motivated, I am setting the bar high. The goal is to drop to 200 lbs for the first time since I was probably a freshman in high school. Clearly this benefits me 100% and you closer to 0%, but what the hell, that's what friends are here for. And of course, who doesn't love to gamble?? The only thing that would be more satisfying than reaching this goal would be to embarrass all of you along the way.

    So, what I am proposing to all of you, is come up with a (non-monetary) prop bet between us. Basically, it is just a friendly wager based on my own personal weight loss competition. The rules are simple, if I get below 200 lbs, I win. If I don't, you win. What I win and what you win don't have to be the same, but they should be relatively equal in 'value.' Deadline for me to reach the goal is next New Years Eve. The bet can be big or small, creative or lame. It can be funny, weird, or most important - embarrassing (NOTE: I do hold veto power until 1/1/12). If you want to change any of the parameters for your specific bet, I'd be willing to listen.

    I won't be staying in every single weekend, but in all likelihood, I will be cutting back at least a little on the partying.

    Most of you claim to be creative in some sense, so have at it. If you want to participate, email me, fb message me, or call me out in public. All bets should be in by December 31st, 2011 for me to confirm."
     
  2. You can't shave or cut your hair for a year. Or just hold it with yourself and don't shave or cut your hair until you hit 250.

    Already at 250, looking to get down to 200..but ya along the lines of this...i shave my head w/ a #2 monthly so to have to grow it for 6 months would piss me off

  4. You need to clarify your bet. If you really wanted to, you could get to <200 by the end of February and balloon back up to 300 by the end of the year. Seems to me that you should lose if you are not 199.9 or less on 12/31/12, regardless of how high or low your weight gets throughout the year.

    Punishment bets:

    Vegetarian for two weeks.
    Have to wear a KD Lang tshirt every day for a month.
    5 mins of stand up comedy.

    If you win I will buy you 100 chicken nuggets from MCd's

    If you lose you have to allow a tiger with AIDS to rape you in front of your parents and the girl you had a crush on in high school.

    my first 2 friends to respond claimed it is way too easy for me and they don't wanna bet anything...A) missing the point...B) dropping from 330 to 250 in a yr is way different than dropping from 250 to 200, but who knows hopefully it is a cake walk ..........**edit: my first license def said 210 (which it still says for weight lol) so that was soph yr of high school when i was still in the " best shape of my life" so dropping to <200 is gonna be tough**

    ill eat 100 chicken nuggets in 20 minutes right now
