Just got this popup on the main page. I clicked OK and everything seemed to work fine. This is using Chrome btw.

Sometimes when I click on the "new" button, it sends me to the page, but the page seems to continually refresh over and over until I click on something else.

You're describing a few Chrome bugs at the start. They're on the list of things to fix.

#3, we're considering some display changes, yet
#4, yes, that is on the list of things to do
#5, i didn't even realize they were every page, we should fix that, i agree
#6, it's on the list
#7, we'll look into it but that isn't a high priority unless it's really easy

We've been doing some work on the caching system because it wasn't working properly. The forum display issues and what you're talking about are related to this. I hope we'll get it totally figured out soon.

No thread hiding yet. It is on the list of things to do.

Also, searching is not really advanced yet but it's on the list. Right now you can see all of the search options (not many) by clicking the search link at the bottom of the page.

how about changing the time to EST It still screws me up in rail call threads at times It makes me think that I have missed a chance to rail when the post was made a few minutes before instead of more than an hour

I think something's wrong with my P5's because every time I click in OT it's the same threads that were shown at 6:23 pm yesterday. :(

You can't search through a user's posts right now but you can go to their profile and see their recent posts by clicking on their post count. That being said, the search is one of the top priorities to expand functionality.

I agree, I think "author" is better. We'll get that taken care of.

A couple more thoughts:

1. The links don't stand out very much within a post. I think they should be a different color that doesn't blend into the background as much.

2. Grey bar on top of each post - Make the font for "in reply to..." and post # smaller and decrease the height of the bar (height could probably be cut in half). I know you already mentioned changing the design for the whole post, but I think with a few minor tweaks you can improve the design immediately. edit: the size of the timestamp font is about the right size.

Front page in OT needs a next page link at the top so i don't have to go to the bottom of the page for pg2 views.

not sure if ur misunderstanding him or giving him a reccomendation but i think he means how the actual forums aka off topic if u want to go to page 2 the navigation bar is only at the bottom unlike individual threads where its optimally both at the top and bottom of the page
