    Im amused yet glad for you how after about 8 hours of total poker (or was it 4?) You could sense a light went off like "so this job would require me to sit here with these smelly and annoying people i dont know for 4-8 hours a day? 5 days a week? 52 weeks a year? For 30 years? Fuck this shit. I'll be a busboy for 30 years instead!" But ay least you gave it a shot and lessons were learned. Congrats on trying something new tho, really.

    Most every job sucks. Thats the lesson here. Find a job that sucks more than this first then it might be more appealing but its a tough grind.
    I wouldnt be able to do it for two weeks probably. (A day or two a week is my max potential.)
    My trading "job" is a grind for me alot of the time but its the best income i will ever make probably and i like the flexibility.
    Some of us just dont fit in like everyone else at regular jobs lol.

    You just learn a pattern that works for you. Some go hard all the time, i go hard then get sick of things for awhile and rest then do it again after long breaks (weeks, months). I just dont have that drive some do. Plus i like variety in hobbies and need to do them too. (Well, more before the kid.)

    The upside to these jobs is you can take time off as needed.

    Just makes me miss online poker more. A much more tolerable lifestyle multitabling naked not having to see the same degen faces at a live smelly casino daily. Chance to make alot more money than Live for many people. Sure you see icons and chat but theres fans and haters and more people. Plus you can ignore people. And so much more.
    Poker was a nice distraction from my trading while trading tbh. I bore easilly. I made a lot of online friends playing too (many who are very good live players now or play in canada or vegas or costa rica). They seem like the normal people in life to me so im happy online poker at least had a run for that reason. Power to you all off doing your thing.

    Just wanted to thank op for a thread that made us laugh, cry, cheer and berate. Though it is over in terms of what it started as, it was one of the better runs in the 6 years I've been a part of the site. Good luck and I hope you never have to cash in any and all stocks and bonds you probably have some sort of access to.
