    March 20th, 2011. Called it.

    Senior year in high school called all 3 of my shots. It's verified. Frosh year in college called 2 of 5. Never called one that didnt happen.

    Above: Santiago, Chile prior to major earthquake

    weatherspace - San Diego residents are reporting shaking continuing in the area. The shaking, according to the USGS, is likely due to the Easter quake this year which rocked the region.

    Twitter is rolling with reports of rainbow cloud over Los Angeles today. Reports are coming in that this looks similar to before both the China and Chile quakes where residents reported and took photos of such events in the sky.

    While no one can be sure what it means, people should always be prepared for a major Earthquake in Southern California as it is seismically active.

    NOTE: this anomaly is the same type of 'earth lights' seen over China and Chile just prior to major earthquakes...

    If someone were to predict an earthquake happening in Cali every day they would certainly be right at some point eventually. We have known for a long long time that another big one is going to hit at some point, it's a matter of when not "if". That's the risk you take living in the most awesome place on Earth.

    For me the positives of living on the coast, greatly outweigh any threats of Earthquakes, Tsunamis etc. Its just too damn nice out to give a fuck.

    Oh Yeah the worst one I remember was Northridge. That was a beast. But I have been through many many smaller quakes. Nothing like an 8.9, though but I think Northridge was in the upper sevens but the epicenter was 2 hours away So i faded that one. But I have been hearing since I was a little kid that were gonna fall in the ocean, and the big one is gonna hit blah blah and nothing happens.

    Northridge was only a 6.7 but I was in Northridge for it. It shook hard as fuck, as did the aftershocks. To say it knocked everything over in the house is an understatement. Also had no power, electricity or gas for 1-3 weeks and my apartment was yellow tagged. After that earthquakes scare the shit out of me. Not saying it would prevent me from living in California but promise you couldn't feel the true power of the earth from Newport or wherever you were. Was terrifying. Lots of people moved away after that. Actually we were the only people who stayed other than the manager, not only in my building but in the 5 building complex. no joke
