What is the best anti virus/spyware program?

    My computer got hit a couple days ago and I was able to use system restore to fix it. Now my wife's has a virus. She had webroot but I guess that didn't work. What is the best one to get right now?

    spybot search and destroy. install this, run it, etc etc. im 98% sure its free

    make sure you run teatimer (which is a part of this program) in the future. it will pop up every time something is trying to change your computer's registry so if youre just browsing the internet and it pops up saying something is trying to access your registry, you can deny it and know that the site youre on is trying to instal a virus.

    The free ones are just as good as the paid subscrption ones, imo. Microsoft even has a free one for download that's not too bad.
