This thread hits home for me seeing as how i've gotten about 13 hours of sleep in the last 3 days. Came home from work at 1am passed out and was back up by 430-5ish due to a horrible dream. It is now 9am here and I am still yet to go back to sleep. I don't know what is causing it but it def sucks

I was for quite some time (3-4 years pretty serious) but ive been clean for 6+ months and i doubt ill ever smoke again. Reasons being I feel great not getting high anymore. I was a tad out of control and once I got past the first 3-4 weeks I honestly have not even wanted to get high. The quality and quantity of what i was smoking def had affects on my life. Instead of really caring or dealing with anything I would just get stupid high. Plus my girlfriend doesn't like it (i quit before we even knew each other) so it is just that much easier not to.

I have blazed da ganja for 20 years (since I was 12) and I remember pretty much every single one of my dreams still.
Not just one per night I have multiple different dreams and I remember them with extreme clarity.
I don't personally think that smoking weed affects your dreams but maybe for some it does I dunno. I can only speak for myself.
After 20 years of blazing I would declare the side effects of weed to be almost non existent. I'm still as fit as ever and it hasn't affected my mental acuity at all.
My oldest brother had to give up weed because of his career but he still wishes he could blaze soooooooo bad. He's a doctor fwiw.
I laugh when I hear people talk about losing motivation and not being able to get shit done when they're blazed. Noobs. -
I used to laugh also until I realized it was fkn true. As much as I hate to admit it I have been so much more productive the last couple months that I havent smoked religiously
-
I dunno I suppose you are right for a lot of people. I just make sure that I get shit done regardless.
I'm bout to take a big ripper and then hit the weights like a madman b4 I push off for work. Peace -
WTF!!! I was just going to post that I've been having crazy terrible nightmares recently too and I did just quit smoking weed. Why do you get nightmares? I'm talking horrific nightmares too, like wake up in a pool of sweat kind of nightmare.

Do you touch yourself at night?
-
Can you expand on this? I recently quit smoking and the past few nights my dreams have been me in some sort of action-packed scene where I'm shooting people and being shot at by the bad guys. Not that I don't enjoy them since I remember having some pretty sweet guns and being able to fly is always fun, just curious if this is why I'm having them.

I had to quit for a month just recently. Dreams are a lot more vivid, good or bad.
-
caffine? how about dont sleep on the couch?
-
I had this same conversation with a 5 year old last week. My advice was, "It's a dream. Go back to sleep."
-
when you're high, you usually don't remember your dreams...
OP, has jaybone been slept over lately? -
Rhode Island is neither a road nor an island, discuss.

Edited By: Glo4m Aug 17th, 2010 at 07:38 PMI can say that quitting smoking weed or cigs can make you have very intense dreams. Usually mine are the same, like an action move you are the star in. This is intensified even further if you try nicotine patches, when i wore them while asleep i would wake up drenched in sweat convinced the dream was real no matter how ridic it was because it was so intenseOriginally Posted by wandigo

guilt

I tend to have the craziest/most fucked up dreams when I fall asleep laying flat on my back. Not sure if the two are actually related, but it next to never fails.

Your body is adjusting the the level of carcinogens in your blood. It will increase if you have a nicotine patch on and decrease if you quit using a substance you have been using for long periods of time. It will level out and you will go back to boring dreams.

i drink alot of alcohol and alot of caffinee (no coffee after 12 tho) and i have trouble falling alseep before 1 am even tho i get up around 8. try staying sober for awhile?
or its because your couch is gay. no, not ghey. gay. your couch likes to fuck guys -
Inception someone is stealing your worldly goods while you sleep. Is your bank account getting smaller or are you making decisions you do not have any idea why?
-
lol at scha, to the people that say weed makes you lazy, bullshit, i was just a s lazy before i started smoking as i was when i smoked as after i quit. laziness is a purely psychological, well maybe theres a few wiih a legit physical ailment tho cant think of what it would be.
as for dreams i rarely remember my dreams cept when i wake up aburptly like from an alarm clock and usually don't remember them after a minute or so. been that way my whole life, kinda wish i could remem my dreams so i could know how f'ed up in the head i am lol
