What did you buy your family for Christmas?

    I finally got around to doing all my shopping this morning.

    In my family all the adults draw names to get gifts for one other member of the extended family. Its my first year participating and I drew my grandpa.

    I got my brother an ice cream maker. I got my dad symphony tickets. I got my mom the new Jane Eyre movie (may have to get her something else since the others were pricier although I did get her a Kindle for a birthday so I guess it evens out). And I got my grandpa Wichita State basketball tickets versus Missouri State.

    That will probably be it for gift giving except for maybe picking up a bar tab one of these nights.

    What are your gift giving traditions and what'd you get your loved ones OT?

    Wife is getting a Tassimo coffee maker, iPod dock, silver bracelet (chain mail link design), and an upgrade to her engagement diamond.
    Daughter is getting a 64g iTouch, and a boatload of art supplies.

    Keep the ideas coming peeps. Gotta find my parents something. i bought the in-laws a FoodSaver vacuum sealer. I already bought and gave my wife a Canon T3i (upgrade from rebel XS), a 28-75mm Tamron f2.8 lens, a Canon 55-250mm lens, a new 480EX flash, and some other camera stuff. I bought the wife some other things that I can't write on here b/c she's prob reading this. Lil mupp got about every toy that is made. The #1 thing he wants is a creepy crawlers thing (odd request I know). He really wants this one that he sees ads for all the time that you make food like zombie barf, zombie brains and stuff and eat it. We brain washed him into instead wanting a creepy crawlers bug maker, since I think its prob not the best thing for the 3yo to go around daycare talking about eating zombie barf/brains. I think the Mrs MUPP is going today to pick up a LeapPad from toys r us, as they have them in stock today--apparently its the hot toy of this year and they are constantly out of stock. Not sure what the new Lil mrs. mupp is getting, except i know she's getting a cabbage patch doll and some barbies (lol @ giving a 5 month old barbies :)

    I have only bought a few little things for my son at this point and have plans to go all out on the 22nd when I get paid. how bad of an idea is this?

    other sister got a plane tickets to hawaii
    nephew got xbox 360, PS3, and 5 games
    Dad got a jacket, his car fixed, a coffee maker, a dvd player, a TV.

    Missus wants cash for the sales on boxing day which is sweet. So I got her perfume. Daughter is gettin some sims games and software for art and a wireless mouse and some other general 11 year old girl shit.

    Family are all doi secret Santa style one gift. I drew nans husband who wants vouchers so that's sweet.

    Got my dad a bottle of krug cos it fell of the back of a lorry and he loves champagne.

    Little son has just got loads of Di osaurs and cars.


    I'm hopefully gettin a mini radio controlled helicopter or there is gonna be help to pay!

    My fam doesn't do gifts (asian ido)

    Normally my gf and I don't do gifts either but I opted to go to Nordstrom yesterday and have one of their 'consultants' pick an outfit out for me through pictures / descriptions / etc. An interesting experience and I'm curious to see how gf likes the outfit (could be a disaster). The trick is gf being willing to return the items if she doesn't like them. I don't want her to feel obliged to wear it just bc I bought it.

    $500 outfit though = beat
