Can I get an OT Travel Summary on Boulder, CO and the Black Hawk casino situation which appears to be 40 miles away.
Basically, do we stay in Boulder after the football game, or do we hit the casinos?
Thank you in advance for your help in this matter
And maybe Sweetness can give me the lowdown on BoulderSensations.com ? -
hit up snarfs on pearl street bro
-
Live in SoCal, so def dont need to go to Boulder to get high quality buds. I like this train of thought though.
Mushrooms have been out of the question since the mid 90's, but a decent idea.
These arent exactly the Eric Bieniemy days for the Buffs, but there must be some kind of action in town. -
PM mork...hes from there.....or try mindy..shes from there too
-
Strip clubs there: Bus Stop is old school and some people say it's the best place they've been too. Or Nitro is hidden on the mall a little smaller and cheaper.
Blackhawk is nice too.... Ameristar is the newest casino and is packkkkkedd on the weekends. Stay away from Central City it's old timers stomping grounds. Other chill casinos are: The Lodge, Riviera, Isle, and Mardi Gras. They cut off booze at 1:45 so take some in your car or whatever you can do! Good luck! -
Jesus PM me, no one knows what the fuck they are talking about
-
On Man vs Food, he went to a pizza place in Boulder called Beau Joe's that looked absolutely absurdly good. So, go there imo.

No disrespect to OP or anyone else, but if I'm going to a beautiful state like Colorado (never been there but my bro lived there for a while and loved it) I'm going to enjoy the scenery and state parks available at my disposal. So what I''m basically saying is I'd wanna spend my time outdoors instead of going to bars, casinos, etc. You can do that shit anywhere.

Casino's are good if you come from somewhere where you don't have casinos. I mean, $100 max bet on everything.
I am having a keg or 3 at my house in Lakewood tonight tho... It's like 30/40 minutes from Boulder. -
I mean

Just do all the outdoors stuff during the day and then go out at night. I wasn't aware the two were mutually exclusive -
Def get a hold of some medical marijuana.
-
You do know that the casinos are located in the middle of the mountains and you could literally go and gamble in the casino and walk outside for a smoke break and be one with mother nature right? I would recommend checking out some stuff during daylight and head to the casinos when it gets dark ldo.

The casinos are fine, but they really aren't that cool. If you go anywhere go to Ameristar, the drive up through the mountains is really cool though.
As for Boulder there is so much to do I dont know where to begin. How old are you? What kind of bars do you like?
Give me any basic information and I'll point you in the right direction
Beau Jos from Man v Food isnt that good. Its decent but Id take 4-5 pizza places in Boulder over it. They just arent really TV friendly places to host a show. There are a couple really great local places they should have hit but I think the dirty employees and establishments arent good for TV. -
Definitely hit up Chautauqua Park to do some hiking. Snarfs is also a good idea for a pretty decent sammich. Actually my favorite sammich in town is the steak and cheese at the University Market on the Hill. It is right across the street from the Fox Theatre, and trust me it is fucking bomb.
I'm not sure how high the creek is right now but if it's high enough definitely spend an afternoon tubing and relaxing at Ebin G Fine Park. You can buy a tube at the gas station at the corner of Broadway and Arapaho. The park is just straight west on Arapaho from there.
A good breakfast place is Lucille's which is right off the Pearl St. Mall. It is a cajun place so you can get some good beignets and a pretty decent breakfast in general.
I haven't really been going out much in Boulder the past few years so I'm not the best one to answer questions about that. -
not good for tv but great for the customers/food quality

Ive had more drunken steak and cheese sandwiches at smelly deli than I could even attempt to count

Every time someone makes a thread about CO, a few more lurkers crawl out from under their Coors Light bottles

Thanks for the input guys. I think we will skip the casinos and maybe head back to Denver or just get drunk in Boulder after the game.
