  1. for your child that has just gone to the 'potty' for the first time?

Sorry for the post OT'ers, but it is important to him and his family (ie. Mom and me, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, etc). Yes, we ALWAYS reinforce positive encouragement and this one is a huge accomplishment (opposed to stacking 3 sofa cushions high and jumping off).

Anyways, with all the Dads, Mothers, Uncles, Aunties, etc posting here, I'm sure someone has a good idea for a gift that I can give my little Monster. Something that is small, inexpensive yet will make the Boy happy.

PS: A sportscar would be a nice gift but no, he's not getting that. And a hot chick would be really nice but he wouldn't have a clue what to do with her other than get her to read him some 'Thomas the train' books.

Reason: Stupid me... He is 2 years & 1 month old.
  2. Get him one of those cool magnet sets. Multiple cubes that go together. If he's old enough to know not to eat em.
  3. so if youre not willing to get him a hooker, then you probably wouldnt get him some blow either, huh?

*edit: how old is he? this could help in a decision*

  6. My parents didn't put enough thought into my gift when I first pee'd in the toilet, got me a fucking ninja turtle toy that I already had. I've resented them ever since.
  7. On a side note, I just smoked a bowl, and I never had kids.
  8. some poutine and a moose saddle, ldo
  9. http://www.automoblox.com/automoblox-originals.html

these my son loves them and will give him hours of enjoyment
  10. a starter rifle..

  11. The first thing I bought were some real cotton underwear that didnt cost 25 fucking dollars to throw away every week.
  12. Nothing. You don't want to send the precedent that everytime he does something good he gets a gift or the first time he does something he gets a gift.

Give him a big hug and tell him how much you love him, how you are so pround of him and your lucky to have such a great kid.

Reinforce his feelings about himself with actions and love not gifts or toys.

Pretty much this. I may have made her favorite meal for her that day too, but def didn't buy anything for her. That creates a slippery slope.

  14. our son has gone on the toilet like three times now. we just give him a little treat, and so far it has been m&m's. we just give him two of them if he goes, lol. he's 2 yr 2 mo.
  15. How about a couple big cardboard boxes? Can always build forts etc... @ 2 years old a big box would make em just as happy as a fancy toy.
  16. Ask him what he wants candy happy meal etc something along those lines

(if you ask him and he says hookers and blow you know you spend too much time on P5's)
  17. Thomas the Train kicks ass
