What do you tell the hair stylist when you get a haircut

    I'm about to get a haircut and i've always hated having to tell them how i want it cut because it's always a different hair stylist and none of them cut it the same

    i usually just tell them to take a couple inches of the top and trim the sides..

    what about you ot?

    I tell them how i fix it, scissor cut the sides, thin the sideburns, round the back, and take it slow on the top and texturize it.

    I never understood why they want to gel and style it for you. Do people really leave there, hair styled, and go to an important meeting or date, havin' little itchy hair trimmings on their ears and neck?

    Just had a haircut tonight. 3 in the back, blended the sides, watch for the double crown and keep the front short since that seems to grow quicker.

    Usually do it myself, cuz I'm cheap. When I do step beyond the pole outside the door, I'll take the hot towels, and ask him to take it down to the skin . . . sometimes I'll have him leave the goatee . . .

    Number 3 on the sides and back, natural, make top thinner. Comb backwards, no gel.

    I do the same as the "2 on the sides and blended upwards"...However, anytime they ask me anything besides that, I simply say "Whatever looks good"...I go to a place that only employs hot women from the ages of 18-35 so I feel comfortable with their decisions...

    I haven't had a haircut in probably 6 months. I'm going to have to go really soon to get some of the sides evened out and what not...I'm very scared since I've never once had a haircut I liked while i was trying to grow length.

    means you blend the hair length from the sides to the top... i get my sides at 1/4" and top at 1/2" and would rather not have a sharp line where the length changes, so its fades from 1/4" up to 1/2" on top
