    1. Non-religious people going to church and praying at meals b/c they are forced to or feel forced
    2. Stuffing myself til I actually feel I am Santa
    3. Spending way too much money that I know I can't afford to spend
    4. Shitty commercials
    5. xmas music (other than a few)

    Not a xmas hater at all but thought i'd throw this out there. I hope everyone has a great weekend

    Lego's. I avoid them like the plague all year when my kid asks for them but every year someone will buy a set that's 4-5 years older than his age range. I get stuck building the city for hours and the kid destroys it in less than 5 minutes. "build it again dad".

    Being on call and not being able to be with the family...........buuuutttt, I get to enjoy the night cap of NBA games tomorrow night without being bothered (unless I get called in of course). I'll take it.

    My mom passed away on x-mas eve of 02' so really the whole holiday has been forever tarnished for me. I used to be a total mess the days around the holidays but now I am pretty much just numb to everything and try and keep busy.

    For example today I watched football and just cleaned, tonight I am going to see Girl With the Dragon Tattoo with some girl I used to hook up with in college. My dad is always a mess on this day so I just kind of leave him be. I also usually save some last minute shopping for x-mas eve day so I can keep busy.

    I also hate x-mas music but <3 the movie home alone.

    No I don't. I mean, I go to my friend's parent's house on XMAS day, but it's not my holiday. And, Hanukkah kind of faded away as I got older. Stopped getting gifts at 18 at all. Was told I was getting a gift this year because I don't have a job but haven't gotten it yet.

    I love Christmas. I love being Jewish, but Christmas is by far the most awesome holiday ever.

    I feel you. I was on call for work during Thanksgiving and will be again for New Years. Def has its ups and downs.

    when our kids were young, my wife always managed to get xmas day off - now that they're grown up, she offers to work during the day so the younger families can spend the morning with their kids. We just start our xmas celebration later in the day. Not a big deal but it still seems weird.

    I heard very little Christmas music until this last week. But all I really listen to on the radio is country music or ESPN Radio
