  1. What are those web-like things you see some NBA players wearing around their legs and arms? I can't find a good shot from a real NBA game, but this picture captures it:

What is this called? Why is it a web? Is it pressured? Hydraulic? I see this more and more and I was curious if it is some proprietary design.

  4. just an elbow protector

  5. Oh does it soften the blow of an elbow hitting the floor? Actually that would explain why it is so long --- if it is transferring the pressure to the entire foreman rather than just the elbow. I wonder if it is all cloth or there is some light metal/plastic in there to keep the structure.

  6. according to a kid in my sports marketing class who plays on the bball team, "it keeps the elbow warm."
  7. its just a shooting sleeve with foam pieces stitched into where the elbow is.

    For example

  11. As someone who played ball--they're basically worthless.

If you bust a bursa sac in your elbow, you can wear one to protect the fluid that gathers...other than that, they suck. Maybe could be used on a deep contusion to help protect.

Anybody that wears one is doing it for looks or to try to sell gear.
