    I'm sure there are a hell of a lot of threads like this, but I just bought myself a lottery ticket for tonights Euromillions where the jackpot currently stands at £68million. The figure just seems astronomical, I mean winning 50k would be huge, winning a million life changing, winning 5-10 million you'll never have to work in your life, but 68 million (100m US) is just incomprehensible...

    I mean where would you start? What would you buy? Where would you live? I literally don't know what the first thing I would do is...

    Any ideas?

    not much different, i'd just have rad cars, a rad house. wouldn't spend much of it probably. let it collect interest. i guess im a simple person :)

    oh yeah, i'd have to buy dedheadsteve's cats too. im sure he'd part with them for a half mil

    I bought Megamillion for tonight, $151mm, but fk me I forgot to tell them cash option. so I'm only going to get $6mm per year for 26 years, FML.

    You have to tell them what you want? I always thought you would just tell them how you wanted the money when you won and went to collect the winnings..

    i know in cali and texas, you gotta tell them. if you don't, it auto selects the 25 year or whatever option

    Buy like a £10m New York penthouse apartment, a racehorse, a lower league football (soccer) club, ex-SAS bodyguards and break up Natalie Portman with her fiance. The problem would be staying off hard drugs imo.

    People should always take the structured payout. Nobody should be spending more than 6 million a year if you don't want to end up going broke (unless you're a billionaire)

    Unless they put that whole amount in an account for me and let me accrue the interest, then not taking it in a lump sum would be retarded...and even then not taking it in a lump sum is still borderline retarded
