  1. Orrrrrrrr how to feed a family of 4 a good meal for under 20.00

This is my version of a roast. I like to use London broil when its on sale.

Start with a 4.42 pound London broil (on sale 1.79lb)

This pic doesnt do this justice.

Then cut up some onion, carrots, celery and potatoes.(under 10.00)

About 15 minutes total prep time.

Then add a standard roast mix (I used Mcormicks since I made this on the fly).

Throw in a crock pot on high (will be done in about 5 hours)

Get some fresh rolls and boom a goood healthy meal for under 20.00

  7. I've just polished off 3 pork chops, roast potatoes and apple sauce followed by lemon meringue pie and 2 pints of Lager.

    Beautiful.
  8. I hate you so much right now.

    Your food >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>> x a quintillion > my food
  9. Meh.

Let's see you feed that beast dog of yours for under $20.
  10. you serve in plastic bowls at your own house?
  11. I'm trying to learn how to cook (I'm almost 27 so I figure it's about time).

What's roast mix? And should broth be added to your meal, Chaz? Thanks.

No I dont add broth. Just 2 cups of water and the Mcormicks pot roast mix. I usually like to make my own but this was last minute.

Yes a Crockpot is a needed cooking tool in the kitchen. Once it gets cooler out I will do a few meals a week in there.

I have a few recipes for fish. Let me try to write them up in a new thread later this week. I will do one of my Fav fish dishes.

lol yes its all in a crock pot right now not little plastic bowls. Its a monster crockpot

lol its not in plastic bowls. It's all in a crock pot right now. I just made it an hour ago. needs 4 more hours of simmering at least. I took these pics with my cells camera since my camera is loaded up with pics from Lake Mead on Sunday.

There is 4.4lbs of London broil
    Almost 5lbs of potatoes
almost a full bag of carrots
almost the whole bag of celery
and a giant onion cut up in there.

We gave up giving up red meats. I cant get them to only eat chicken and fish. So 2 meals a week are done with meatttttttttttttttttt.

Oh tommorow I am taking the other L.B. I bought and shredding it up to make homemade cheesestakes. Shred L.B.-Home made BBQ sauce-cheese(low fat for me) and whole wheat buns.
