what's a parking ticket cost in your town?

    walked out and realized I had a parking ticket on my car this afternoon after eating lunch. totally my fault, I didn't plug the meter as I should have.

    so I check the damage and apparently here in Minneapolis, a parking ticket now costs you $42!!!

    5 years ago I was paying $20.

    anyone else notice a rise in their parking ticket costs over the last few years?

    Sort of on topic, has anyone in philly or detroit seen "Parking Wars" being filmed on the streets by any chance?

    On topic, Expired meter tickets here are $36.00CAN. When they run the ticket, if you have more than a few unpaid tickets, they just tow it, which costs upwards of $200.00 + paying all the tickets

    I got ticketed for parking in an expired meter where there wasnt one that worked...it was $3 in vandergrift lol

    last one i got in town was $5, but like 6 years ago. on campus they are now $25

    About a year ago I got a ticket for Jaywalking---was going to Starbucks. Only $240....most expensive cup of Joe in my life....wasn't even freaking driving.

    At the UofM its 42. I got one a few years ago and had the option to buy a city parks parking pass for 22 and it waived the 42 dollar ticket.

    Get there any later then 9 and you're at the back of the thomas n mack with a compass in hand to find the campus while leaving bread crumbs to find your way back.

    my plates are ontario'n and im in wisconsin for school, havent got a ticket yet at the meters **knock on wood** i feel like they see my cars plates and are like screw it he aint from here hes not paying them anyways

    $15 and $30 if not paid in 14 days, Ive gotten more ticket than I can count leaving my car downtown after drinking on a Friday night, either way $300 < DUI

    $55 here in SF. I've gotten 8 tickets in the 9 months since Ive moved here, lol, all from street cleaning.
