I'm spending a good portion of this summer by myself between being on campus when nobody else is and visiting my parents, so I plan to make good use of my netflix queue.
I'm drawing a blank on potential movies though, so whatare some movies that you found that were pretty good, but never really were big movies (ive seen a good amount of the "big" movies).
Idc about genre -
The Machinist
Super Fly
Pans Labyrinth
Money Masters(documentry)
Enjoy!! -
Junau - have no idea how to spell it (im retarded)
-

-
Haha I wasn't sure if you meant that or if there was another movie I didnt know of :)

And yeah, it's definitely a good movie, it was just overhyped by friends for me so I was a bit let down considering the expectations. Still a movie I'd reccommend to anyone though -
Gone baby Gone
ANIMAL 1 and 2 sick sick movies (if you like prison fighting) -
I just watched a movie called Thunderheart - an early 90's movie about conditions on Indian Reservations - Def very good bunch of action throughout.
-
Running Scared
Traitor
Long Kiss Goodnight
Death at a funeral ...... absolutely hilarious
hmmmm ill prob remember more later -
IDK many "under the radar" movies that are any good, but you might consider some timeless classics like Goonies and Platoon.
I've become somewhat of an old crumudgeon in my movie tastes lately, and the nostalgia of some of my old favorites as a youngster is pretty badass.
You should give it a shot. -
Personally I think you'd have better luck watching TV series you haven't seen yet
-
If you haven't watched every episode of The Wire that's definately something to check out.
-
Suicide Kings
Just Cause
Mr. Brooks
The Mexican
Pool Hall Junkies
The Fisher King -
Brazil
Sunshine
Adaptation
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Y Tu Mama Tambien
Bad Taste
Dead Alive -
Texasville
King of New York -
Seen the proffesional?
-
wet hot american summer
-
Boiler Room
Lock, Stock, 2 Smoking Barrels/Snatch
Goal/Goal 2 are kinda cheesy soccer movies but I liked them.
Face/Off
Rock n' Rolla
Donnie Brasco
Heat
I realize almost all of these are OT staples, but aside from Heat and possibly Donnie Brasco, these are all kinda off the beaten path. -
From the 80's:
The Sure Thing - one of John Cusak's first movies and very funny
3 O'Clock High - one of my all time favorites
Rock & Roll High School - another good one
Raising Arizona - very very funny
also someone mentioned Long Kiss Goodnight..very underrated -
3 O'Clock High is a great movie.
If you like great acting, character driven movies, then watch Glengarry Glenross.
The French Connection
Spike of Bensonhurst- Corny as hell, bad acting, but for some reason I love it. Anybody else ever see it?
