You only get to listen to music from one decade for the rest of your life. What do you choose.
I'm really torn between the 60's and 70's
just some smaples I yanked from ITunes
60's
Diana Ross - Love Child
The Trogg - Wild Thing
The Mamas and the Papas - California Dreamin
Bobby Hebb - Sunny
Four Topps- I can't help myself
Beatles - anything
Elvis - anything - love suspicious minds and little less conversation
70s
Don McLean - American Pie
Stealers Wheel - Stuck in the Middle With You (Mr. Blonde!!!!)
Billy Joel - Piano Man
Frankie Valie - December 1963
Jackson 5 - I want you back
Alice Cooper - Schools Out
Wings - anything
Looking back it has to be the 60'sbecause of the Beatles and Elvis
IMO music gets worse from the late 80's on. 80's still has some good stuff but the trail off is steep and most of the shit from the 2000's is pure shit.
And F the people for hating on my music tatses

this is a repost sir
-
nooooo. really????
of course it's a repost. unless it's a life story a political post or a sports upadet, just about everything is going to be a repost. We have at least 10 threads a month asking what the best tv is from the price range of 600-1k.
edit: I was just teasing. not trying to be mean
I forgot my :) -
90's for me. not necessarily because i think it had the best music for a decade, but because its what i grew up to. it brings me back, esp late 90's music like Marcy Playground(Sex and Candy, St. Joe), Harvey Danger's Flagpole Sitta, Beck, Cake, Korn, remind me 1998 and skateboarding, playing twisted metal 2, shit like that.
and then early 90's music that i love today, Soundgraden, Nirvana, etc. -
How about 1965-1975. You've got Blood on the Tracks, The Velvet Underground & Nico, Highway 61 Revisited, Pet Sounds, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Lola versus the Powerman and the Moneygoround. I guess most of those fall between 65 and 67, but the first one is my favorite
-
I like the 30's and 40's, Jazz Pwns IMO.
-
90's

A great philosopher once said, "Everyone knows rock music reached it's peak in 1973. It's a scientific fact."
