I kinda just feel like gettin away from everyone for a few days. just not answer my phone or talk to anyone at all. kind of a finding myself kind of thing. If you were to do this where would u go? ive thot ab just goin to the airport and grabbin a ticket somewhere but id rather know my destination i think. thoughts?

If you don't wanna travel far, then perhaps just The Great Outdoors? Grab a tent and supplies and just appreciate nature

From where you are, pick a spot in the Caribbean and chill for a couple days... it would take you waaaaay too long to get to thai beaches or fiji, which was going to be my recommendation until I saw you're on the east coast.

If I were you I would either:
a.) drive up to NYC and just walk the city and try to talk to some of the local street entertainers and bums
or better yet
b.) grab a plane ticket to either the bahamas or the keys and chill on the beach for a few days and stay at the cheapest, worst hotel you can find -

Kokomo obv....Miami -or the Bahamas if you want to get away. Hit somewhere quiet on an outter island. So many options. Just go and worry about a place when you get there. If you're a wuss bring a tent as backup lol. You get better deals just walking in and asking if they have a room. It's still a recession, they won't be sold out....if you get more time another time I always wanted to just hit up places like bequia by ferrys that go from island to island the way locals get around. It's cheap as hell. You can cover a big chunk of carribean that way, major variety. I read a story on it in Islands magazine once.

the one thing I highly recommend is that you go and go quickly. I always wanted to just set out without destination or purpose by myself to "find myself" and all that and never did. Now I'm married w/ too many responsibilities and roots to do something like that (nor would I want to now)...but I sure wish I had when I was a few years younger.
and I went to NYC for the first time last winter and it was a blast....the people, the buildings, the culture is just something everybody should experience and would be perfect for what you are looking for. -
