    A lot of the screen names on this site are fairly obvious, like brsavage, NSXT2, and SamENole. I find myself wondering sometimes where other people get their screen names though such as elfleader, soupie, and steely. So if anyone has a good story or an explanation of where their name came from, I think it'd be interesting to hear. It might even keep me from falling asleep at work.

    My name, as some of you may already know, is the name of the Abbe who befriended Edmund Dantes while imprisoned at Chateau D'If in "The Count of Monte Cristo".

    Several years ago, I was signing up for something, can't remember what, and it needed a screen name. I tried like 7 of them that I normally use, and they were all taken. I looked into the living room, and on one television there was a commercial for some fiber product, can't remember what -- and on the other television, they were showing highlights from one of the slalom races in the Olympics. Ta-da.

    Last name is Gundrum. My friends in college just called me "Gun", then one of them started calling me BigGun. When I first registered for an email account, "BigGun" was already taken, so I had to add the "X." When I registered for paradise poker, it was the first thing that came to mind.

    So, BigGunX it is, although I'd like to change it to something interesting. I'm thinking CFH102 or NSXT3...maybe Gator 94 or JohnnyBux. Don't know, we'll see.

    last name farrell, nickname was darryl. that evolved into darnell. (i am white/irish)

    my GF used to call me mr. 50 cuz i would do 50 in the 35 mph zone.

    CFH,

    I wore a Pantera shirt and played Cemetary Gates for like 3 weeks after you are right still hurts bad. I just cant fathom that I'll never be amazed by a new Pantera album ever again it sux.

    Much like the age old tradition of Native Americans naming their children after the first thing they see after birth (at least in jokes, that's the way it works)... divingduck was sitting on his spacious deck overlooking his private pond. Using his wireless laptop connection to open his first online poker account, he's prompted to enter a screenname. After pondering, he looks up to see a diving duck in the pond. Viola!

    I have one of those co-workers that everyone hates. She gets into everyone's business, has no problem pointing out other people's flaws to management. and talks down to everyone. Nobody talks to her because of this. Anyways, her last name is Fear. No joke. My co-workers and I have nicknamed her "Darth Fear" for her Vader-like coldness. I decided to take this name in my poker game to instill Fear in my opponents. Anyways, it sounded good at the time.

    My screen name comes from a Northern English saying "you couldn't stop a pig in an entry", an entry being a narrow entrance between two houses in England.

    Being a little bow legged when I was younger, my mother used to say that I couldn't stop a pig in an entry.

    diving duck.. your a hunter and you enjoy seeing the ducks fall out of the sky

    or you once were overlooking a river.. bridge w.e and you saw a duck fall out the air and do a perfect dive into the water.

    I once was out at our pool when a bad wind blew a duck out of the air and then it plummeted right into ours for a perfect lay out ful full

    i saluted him with a 2 thumb up he gave me one quak of approval then presumed his flight to chili for a afternoon waddle with the swans.

    My screen name comes from Mike Tyson. In his post-fight interview after beating Cliffored 'the black rhino' Ettiene(sp) he made some great comments. He claimed his back was broken but he was still able to fight, and for that he thanked his dead brother darbom or darbong or something along those lines. I probably should have gone w/ darbom since everyone now assumes Im a stoner.
