Last summer I was living in vegas with a few poker players, and lived in a house about 15 minutes from the strip. One day I went to the bank down the street from our place which was pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I was flagged down by some guy who started talking jibberish about these speakers he had and how great they were and how he got an insane deal on them somehow and could hook me up. At first, I wouldn't buy it buy somehow, the cocksucker got me to buy 2 sets for $400. He gave me his number and everything told me it was all legit. I take it back to the crib, and open it up. It's all brand new and isn't BAD, but defenitely wasn't worth the money. I just said F it and charged it to the game. The speakers were made by a company named DiVinci who doesn't even have a website or any way of contacting them. After doing research online, I figured out they are called white van scams, and what was the fucker driving? A white van...yes. So a year later not really giving a shit my friend here in texas starts telling me "oh hey man crazy story I got these speakers".......right away I knew. He pops open his trunk and there goes your divinci speakers. I started cracking up of course. I guess these guys are nationwide. Just watch out for em is all I'm sayin'.

U got got.
unfortunately i have too..... same set up just a different brand name and for only 250. -
Haha, fuck those guys, I fell for the same scam, mine were made by AudioFile...looked em up, story turns out to be the same as yours. Lesson Learned!

I can't believe this scam is still running. I was approached a couple times by these guys about 25 years ago in CT. Didn't fall for it since I used to work for a stereo store and never heard of the crap they were selling. They'll show you an invoice detailng how much they should be, and they have to get rid of them since they were extras and they want the cash before they get back to the warehouse.
A guy who lived next to me in college did get some and they weren't horrible, but not worth what he paid. -
hahah, my dad told me he got got by this scam many years ago, and my freshman year in college this guy pulled up on me in a white van trying to sell me the same shit, i laughed in his face when he pulled up.

I have been approached by these guys atleast 5 times, everytime they try to show me some fake magazine that has then retailed at like $2500, LOL, they are worth about $100 and these clowns gets people to buy them for anywhere from $200-$500. I cant believe people fall for this shit, like some sketchy random guy in a van is going to give you legit speakers for 75% off in a gas station parking lot

Mods, please delete. Motherfuckers be stealing food off my table.
***ATTENTION***
I have some great speakers that are brand new, but I just don't have any room for them at home. Separate woofer (10"), midrange and tweeter. I haven't even taken them out of the box. Retail on them is $1,250, but I will reluctantly sell them to an OTer for $400 plus shipping. PM me if interested.
By the way, pictured van is mofuggin sweet. -
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
