    Im talking about a band that was formed in USA and is truly American not a band that made their fame here but were formed in another country

    I think The Eagles sold more records than anyone else. But I would personally go with CCR or Pearl Jam.

    Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. there is no argument. he/they've been doing it for over 30 years, critically acclaimed, he/they sell out concerts in minutes no matter the size of the venue.

    Very true whaler I have to agree they sell out in seconds ginats stadium like 4 years ago was sold out in 2 minutes for 2 dates. But Im really partial to skynyrd grew upw ith them cause of my dad and love the song simpleman its like everything. I have a tattoo of it on my right arm

    I was going to say Springsteen and the E Street Band. Don't forget about Aerosmith. My personal choice would be Pearl Jam.
