waco's way too 2008 to win this poll. I voted for Jaybone

Great post about Warden, Bfactor, he rapes. He's such a hidden gem you forget to include him in your "favorite posters" lists. (my list is Niceguy, Warden, Sacaniga, El Burro, etc)
LeftyMark is the man but I wouldn't call him infamous. and if by "he makes valuable posts other than photoshops" you mean he creeps out everyone and makes them wonder if they are going to get serialkilled or their children abducted, yes Leftymark makes a lot of "Good" posts.
Sowers posts in OT sometimes he's pretty poker famous... too bad he's a fucking weird ass freak who goes to Tony Robbins seminars now. Like wtf is up with that kid. Hell of a poker player tho.
IMO the only argument is weather it's Jaybone or Waco. Gigawatts hardly posts these days and even when he did no one would have known who he was outside of OT. -
I voted for myself lol. I would have voted for Waco, but i just assumed he was so far ahead that it didnt matter and I just wanted to see the results.
I was correct.
btw, ive actually been randomly recognized by OTers when Ive been out. Its pretty weird. It immediately makes me realize that I shouldnt post as much shit as I do lol. -
Most infamous? Duh that's easy, its Schrute Rules, the original Chaz.

I never saw that interview before. Gold.

Most famous: Waco
-
Gotta be TWK, but lefty should be considered since he has brought us some of the most epic chops the internets has ever seen

I actually think this "poll" has an objectively correct answer, and it is Waco, regrettably. Regrettable because his head is already big enough, and this won't help.
-
Voted 41st for TWK. Jaybone needs his own award, imo.
I love WAR but it seems like a lifetime ago and I was just a lurker then. Goodtimes tho. -
Waco ainec
-
i voted for giga. i took this thread as who is the most famous to the ot world, not the real life world. giga and random were 1 and 1a for me.
in real life its gotta be waco -
The top 5 how I see it:

I voted for wowswift. She was the face of OT for me. You couldnt open a post from 2005 - 2008 without seeing a reply from her. She doesn't post much these days so the n00bz have no clue. Plus I think her pic was the first I saw from an OT'er.
I can see why he's winning because Waco is a rock solid OT'er that has poker notoriety working for him. But when I hear TWK or Jared Hamby my first thought is "the poker player". Weird cause he probably contributes more to OT than he makes waves in the poker scene these days, but thats just how I see him. Apparently "most famous" meant "most recognizable" to some of you, in which case Waco wins hands down I think.
I really thought BGX would win this though. He's as recognizable as waco and has probably met more OT'ers than anyone. No one has done more for OT than him and I thought that would carry him into the top 3 at least.
1.21 gigawatts and randomfrost are legends and set the standard for OT. When we finally launch the OT archives, the pages will be littered with quality posts from both of these guys. Even on off days their posts are better than anything most people have posted. If either of their names are brought up you automatically think of OT.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently the most popular and recognizable would probably be jaybone. Other than that Ptownbrad might actually be the most famous after his epic reply was featured on reddit, stumbleupon, and 4chn showing his post to probably more than a million people . Though you could go back to any of those sites and ask all of them who Ptownbrad is and >1% would know the answer. So his notoriety will forever be linked with the story, not so much his contribution to OT. -
how is fenway not on this list? if we're just talking about objective fame, he has to at least be mentioned, right? dude won the spelling bee.
i guess i have a hard time understanding what this is about; is it about fame BASED on OT contributions? or it is just "who is the most famous" (which i think someone said previously)? i'm guessing, based on the list, it's the former. -
its about nothing really. I had no point like most of my posts. The poll was probably a poor choice to gauge. hindsight being 20/20, I would have asked "Who is the first person you think of when you think OT?" or "Which character most represents OT to you?"
Fenway is a good one. I wonder how many people actually know about the spelling bee. -
if that's the case, it's rf or 1.21 to me, but that's because they were the people i remember posting the most when i first started here.
waco is the most 'famous' in my book. -
randomfrost is my hero
-
swifty for me

well, it's true. I haven't played much outside the WSOP in the last few years and haven't done much there besides 1 final table (8th) and some deep runs that didn;t work out (37th, 27th). these were all huge tourneys tho and I was a hand or 2 away from making some huge scores. tournament poker variance is a bitch. as hot as I ran in 07 I have ran twice as cold since. that's just the way it is.

same, Agree on the latter because let's face it, someone as conflicted as Bfactor knows the true value of murder. A man like that won't just go on one killing spree and then get locked up/killed afterwards, he needs to go through ALL the stages. The disgust, followed by the guilt, followed by the revelation that he was born for this, followed by the wearing of the flesh of his victims as a mask on his face in his mother's basement. Bfactor will be one of the greatest to ever do it, pounding the pussy of dead under 16 asian girls corpses in the most brutal of fashion. This won't even be a question one of these days, folks.

I think randomfrost needs to be replaces with leftymark in the OP poll...anybody joining in the last 2-3 years doesn't even know who RF is.
-
waco is def the most famous. all the other poker players that posted in OT were just that, poker players who posted in OT. waco is an OTer who plays poker. I think of BGX as OT's unofficial leader, and like many good leaders, he doesn't get the appreciation he deserves. as for jaybone, if waco is the poster child that we're all proud of, jaybone is the flip-side that we're all ashamed to be proud of. they represent the good and bad of OT. wowswift is the original queen, which I think should be a permanent title.
agree that randomfrost and giga set the standard. they practically invented framework of OT's style of humor that was built on by the likes of wowswift, bmac, blonde, nicky price, shortyj, el burro, timthegem, lefty, etc. there are just so many "types" of OTers that it's hard to pick a favorite. you've got your wisdom philosopher types like emcee and magnet steve..sick one liners coming from timthegem and lefty. out of control laughter-fests by shorty and el burro, or some combination of styles. bfactor deserves credit for having his own sub-genre. it's def remeniscent of standard OT humor, but that long winded stream of conscious perverted undertone stuff is a collective masterpiece.
p.s. murder is by a wide margin the best consistent thread starter. it's just one big pile of gold -
I'm gonna abstain.
I very rarely look to see who posted what (sometimes it's obvious, i.e. bfactor).
This might be one of those 'you guys take this shit too seriously' moments. Not sure yet.
