SEC East--USC and UGA have to battle for it. USC should repeat as East champs.
Florida still doesn't have a QB settled but tons of great recruits.
Tenn will be better but at least 2 years away.
UK will be worse.
Vandy will be Vandy
SEC West--I think Bama gets the nod even with losing Ingram and QB. TOo much talent, too many recruits and Saban.
LSU tons of talent but Miles will still be there so not yet (rapist from UGA should help)
Auburn doesnt get close without Newton (possible probation)
Arkansas loses Mallett but still has good WR corp
Miss St will be good if Mullen stays (apparently he is not heading to Miami)
Ole Miss will still be Ole Miss
USC vs Bama in SEC title game--Ill take Bama -
It is a little early for this, but I say GA will scoop next year. I think we need to see who is going pro on each team, also what kind of recruits come in. Make sure there are no coaching changes etc. etc. Hopefully GA makes some changes (Bobo Uhhmmm Hhmmm) If i weny by last year looks as if it would be the same SEC championship game as this year.

I've already heard that with the uncertainty of the NFL work stoppage, Mallet may just stay in school one more year. If that is the case, Arkansas should have a pretty good at actually winning the SEC and compete for a National Championship. Their only losses came to Alabama and Auburn. They choked away the lead in the bama game, and they actually had the lead with 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter against Auburn before turning it over a few times and the game getting out of hand.
Even without Mallet, I still think they have a fair chance to compete. They have a lot of talent at quarterback behind Mallet. Their defense needs to improve a little, but any Petrino coached team normally has that problem. -
It is a very good UofA team for sure, and it sounds like Mallet might be staying. They will have a chance, but I wouldn't get too excited, as LSU and BAMA just always have sooooo much talent.
Edit: obv talking about in the west. -
If Carolina does not win the SEC East next year it is a complete and utter fail. Too much talent there on offense for them not to own souls next season. (I know it says I'm from Charleston but I'm a yankee and don't have any bias for/against Carolina-Clemson etc.)
Fire Spurrier chants would be heard all over the state if USC doesn't win. Fwiw, how good is Alshon Jeffery?

Well, I honestly thought they were a few years away before the year started. I figured this year they would lose 4+ games, and get better. But I think they are way ahead of schedule. But you are right about the SEC west, it's going to be super tough as usual. Should be exciting either way.

Didn't realize how negative my post sounded. I think they are definitely in the discussion. If Mallet stays, I would even call them the preseason favorite to win the SEC. I was just pointing out that we have no idea how good either LSU or BAMA could be next year.

LOL, Mullen is headed to Florida, not Miami. Your picks are good though. South Carolina is the clear favorite in the East.

Super thrilled with the way Bray & the group of other true freshmen have developed so far. They are such a better team now than they were 6 weeks ago; impossible to not be extremely optimistic about the future. Getting into a bowl game in his 1st year was a great accomplishment for DD, and the extra month of time together can only help them towards next year as well.

Of course as a young team, they will probably lose a game or 2 next year that on paper they should win, but will also likely pull 1 big upset along the way.
And in terms of winning the East, USC is the team to beat.
