    I don't know about the actual effects of fluoride on the pineal gland but fuck it I'm willing to roll the dice. There has been discussion recently about removing fluoride from the drinking water in Anchorage.

    All I know is fluoride treatments make your enamel strong as hell if you get them as a youngster. It's that nasty fluoride gel that they put in a foam mouthpiece and then you have to bite down on it for like a couple mins. If you get a couple of those treatments when you are young it makes a HUGE difference.

    Recently when I was at the dentist they told me that I have super strong enamel. I am able to eat tons of chocolate and never get cavities and I usually only brush and floss once a day. I know for a FACT that the treatments I received made my enamel A LOT stronger.

    It's kind of funny I remember one time me and my oldest bro flew into an area known as Theodore creek. It's an isolated area of AK that's only accessible by plane. We were dropped off to fish king salmon for a few days and camp. Anyways there was this pitiful family that was homesteading out there by this little lake I mean literally living in the middle of fucking nowhere. The father of their family was literally begging my bro to bring him some pure fluoride (my bro is a dentist). The guy had a rotten tooth and I guess he felt that fluoride was gonna save his ass lol.

    Ingestion of fluoride provides no medical benefit. All the advantages fluoride give you in fighting cavities are due to the topical application of fluoride. I'm not against fluoride. I'm just against the "forced" mass consumption of it when there is no need to swallow that crap.

    I suppose it would depend on the levels. I have read that some places in Asia are looking at removing fluoride that is naturally in their water from the water supply because the levels are pretty high. But with the addition of so many ways to apply fluoride to your teeth topically over the years I'm not sure we need to be medicating the entire country with an industrial chemical.

    There are two basic types of fluoride

    Calcium Flouride appears naturally in underground water...and Sodium Flouride is what is added to the drinking water.

    Sodium Fluoride is a synthetic waste product of the nuclear, aluminum, and phosphate fertilizer industries.This fluoride has an amazing capacity to combine and increase the potency of other toxic materials. The sodium fluoride obtained from industrial waste and added to water supplies is also already contaminated with lead, aluminum, and cadmium.

    this was the answer I expected, I knew the stuff added to toothpaste, etc. was a "waste product" (loaded phrase imo) and assumed the fluoride in ground water was different and likely not bad for humans. wouldn't be surprised if that is how they "found out" about fluoride - the folks living near a source of naturally occurring fluoridated water had better teeth.

    If you understood libertarianism you would know that we aren't against regulations as a rule. Adding a chemical to someone's water supply without their consent would be considered against the law in a libertarian society.
