    Reading this sent chills running through my body, and led to this post. From an "extremist" point of view, what exactly are the atrocities America has committed? This post is intentionally naive, so please don't mount your horses. Is there more, specific incidents that they rally around besides the Western world not being believers?

    Things are a lot less comic for women, who aren't allowed to attend school or have jobs. They're not allowed to be unaccompanied, and oftentimes get publicly stoned to death for crimes like not wearing a veil. I don't have to tell you they don't need to shout at a soccer match because they're never going to go to one.
    So what bothers them about us? Well, the variety of cheers alone coming from the cheap seats at Giants stadium when they're playing the Cowboys is enough for a jihad, to say nothing of street corners lined church next to synagogue, next to mosque, newspapers that can print anything they want, women who can do anything they want including taking a rocket ship to outer space, vote, and play soccer. This is a plural society. That means we accept more than one idea. It offends them."

    To me, there are three main reasons.

    1. Our support of Israel. Don't forget that 60 years ago, we kick Muslims off their land and put in a government that is run by Jews. We take away large chunks of holy land to do this. We continue to support Israel with billions in military aide every year. Israel in return has attacked (sometimes provoked, sometimes not) Muslims in Palestine.

    2. Our support of Saudi Arabia. We give tons of military support, have bases in, and give lots of $ to an extremly regime that is awful to its people. Also, don't forget the king of Saudi Arabia turned down Osama's military support during the first Persian Gulf War and opted to go with the infidel (America).

    3. Our view of them. Lets be honest, many Americans view them as backwards, and not as worthwhile. We don't try to understand them. Look at Bush, he used the word crusade when making speaches about the war in Iraq (this was prior to the invasion.) Think about what that term means to someone in the Arab world.

    They could careless about our freedoms. The little we have left as we can't even play online poker or generate our own electricity or build a house without a permit. If anything by us being in the area, it keeps us interested in the region they can send refugees to the West and send their best rich students to our schools. They also make money by our spending in the region.

    10 terrorists came to America and did a terrorist attack. After they killed themselves, there were no more terrorists. Thus all the terrorists are gone. There are few or no terrorists in Iraq or Afganistan. The war in Iraq is just a waste of time to make money for defense contractors, U.S. military to justify their jobs, and to gain oil for private companies. There is no reason to be there other than to remove Saddam. 9-11 is just an excuse.
