    1. Scorpions
    2. And the kidnapping rate is like the highest in the country in AZ.

"Within 3 hour flight" is beyond absurd as a standard for "close to."

    1. All kinds of food available at any time of day/night
    2. This "winter" has been amazing
    3. Sweet variety of beers on tap just about everywhere.

White people dont get kidnapped there. The reason the rate is so high is because they consider the illegals that get brought into the country by coyotes as kidnappings. Usually because they hold the illegals for ransom money against their will. Stay in the east valley and youll be fine.
And for scorpions, i saw one in the 6 years i was out there. Played a lot of poker tho so i didnt get out much.

    1) Scorpions are either a huge deal or not even noticeable. It really depends upon the exact house you live in. You could have none and a neighbor 2 houses away has a ton. It is really hit or miss. And unless it is a huge infestation, you will likely not know until you've lived in the house a bit. Doubt owners will be honest about it unless it is clearly a huge problem. My house growing up had a handful in the yard, and my dad went out there once in awhile with a black light and killed some. But we only found one in the house once, and that was when it got in a crate of water that we brought into the house. Other than that, for 10 years or whatever, none in the house even though they were in the backyard.

My parents next house has none of them, and the house I bought and live in haven't seen one at all in 4 years. Yet the house my brother got has them. So either they will be a constant problem in the yard or you don't see them except for at the zoo.

    2) I don't have kids, but if you are in a decent area and aren't a fuck up of a parent, I doubt this is a problem. This isn't something on my radar at all, but I don't really watch the news.

    Winnemucca NV

    1. Population ~7500
    2. Recession friendly economy
    3. Most of the conveniences of a large city without all the traffic and crowds.

FWIW, from Winnemucca, it's a 3 hour drive just to get to an airport.
  23. Newport Beach, CA

    1. Im on a peninsula with a beautiful harbor in one side, and a real clean stretch of beach on the other side.

    2. The weather is crazy good here- summers are like 70-80 and winter is so nice- We had blue skies and 75 degree weather for like 10 days straight.

Close to urban and rural environments and all the things that go with both.
Sports-Professional - Nuggets, Rockies, Broncos, Avalanche and College - Colorado College Hockey, Air Force Football

  29. Raleigh, NC

    1. A medium size city that's spread out but has a great downtown area
    2. NC State, Duke, UNC all roughly 25 min apart - rivalries and shit talk all year round, plethora of hot girls
    3. Music scene - there is always live music to go to. Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Durham all have great small venues and you also have your typical big amphitheaters and such.
