    1) clinton was still in office and the economy was booming, not to mention the monica lewinsky scandal

    2) cartoon shows like doug, rugrats, and jackie chan adventures, and dragonball z were practically primetime cartoon shows. none of that crap they have for cartoon shows nowadays

    3) pokemon

    4) the macarena was still hot:
