  1. pretty sure the current administration have all of their numbers published and scrutinized by the CBO considering that they are the party in power. It's not like they can hide behind their numbers. The opposition party has no obligation to publish anything other than to offer promises without specifics - and they have now come out to say that the mandatory budget cuts agreed to if they cannot compromise on a debt solution will be rolled back (if they are elected).
  2. You just brought a tear to Willywoo's eye.

I don't think so, I actually think they want to raise corporate tax rates through the elimination of deductions they deem to be corporate welfare (oil subsidies), although I believe they've also kicked around offering new tax incentives (deductions/credits) for hiring practices, clean energy, and other health care stuff, so I'm not sure where the scales balance if they actually got their whole wish-list.

  6. quick, other than taxing the rich...name one 2nd term key Obama initiative.
  7. Jobs Act?

  8. Stop subsidizing failing energy companies and hire two million teachers?
  9. How is that an issue? It isn't a Rebub or Dem issue, there is subsidies from both parties. But because it didn't work out and was for the liberal green energy agenda, it's clearly awful. Those damn people trying to stop global warming.

Who needs clean energy? We can build a pipe line down the heart of our nation that will end with killing more jobs than it creates. Drill off shore and in Alaska. And clean coal.... Romney loves clean coal!

In the first debate, President Obama said that he wanted to lower corporate tax rates by 10% by eliminating some deductions. He won't say which ones, but then goes on to attack Romney for not giving specifics.

we need the most powerful army in the world

I will make the critical defense investments that we need to remain secure. The decisions we make today will determine our ability to protect America tomorrow. The first purpose of a strong military is to prevent war.

The size of our Navy is at levels not seen since 1916. I will restore our Navy to the size needed to fulfill our missions by building 15 ships per year, including three submarines. I will implement effective missile defenses to protect against threats. And on this, there will be no flexibility with Vladimir Putin. And I will call on our NATO allies to keep the greatest military alliance in history strong by honoring their commitment to each devote 2 percent of their GDP to security spending.

    Obama is cutting military

And I will roll back President Obama's deep and arbitrary cuts to our national defense that would devastate our military.

We cannot support our friends and defeat our enemies in the Middle East when our words are not backed up by deeds, when our defense spending is being arbitrarily and deeply cut,

we need to stay the course

In Iraq, the costly gains made by our troops are being eroded by rising violence, a resurgent Al-Qaeda, the weakening of democracy in Baghdad, and the rising influence of Iran. And yet, America's ability to influence events for the better in Iraq has been undermined by the abrupt withdrawal of our entire troop presence.

I will restore the permanent presence of aircraft carrier task forces in both the Eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf region—and work with Israel to increase our military assistance and coordination. For the sake of peace, we must make clear to Iran through actions—not just words—that their nuclear pursuit will not be tolerated.

I will reaffirm our historic ties to Israel and our abiding commitment to its security—the world must never see any daylight between our two nations.

Our friends and allies across the globe do not want less American leadership. They want more—more of our moral support, more of our security cooperation, more of our trade, and more of our assistance in building free societies and thriving economies. So many people across the world still look to America as the best hope of humankind. So many people still have faith in America. We must show them that we still have faith in ourselves—that we have the will and the wisdom to revive our stagnant economy, to roll back our unsustainable debt, to reform our government, to reverse the catastrophic cuts now threatening our national defense, to renew the sources of our great power, and to lead the course of human events.

    america shall never be tested

No friend of America will question our commitment to support them… no enemy that attacks America will question our resolve to defeat them… and no one anywhere, friend or foe, will doubt America's capability to back up our words.

  16. cminer... There's no need to point any of that out to NCJ. He heard/read it and shit his pants with joy. He love's nothing more than American men and women fighting wars and giving their lives so he can feel safe while posting how much other nations hate us for being great.

Sure, just as I will agree that Obama has changed his position on things over time as well.

    What's the big deal?
  18. Over time? Romney was saying this stuff less than 2 weeks ago! It was on his damn website at the time of the debate. His aides had to say that the pre-existing conditions clause isn't a part of his plan the same night as the debate.

There is a difference between changing positions over time and blatant lying. I mean, Kerry was deemed this awful flip flopper but Romney gets no flack?

  19. I will go out on a limb and say that Obama blatantly lied during his first campaign as well.

Again, what is the big deal?

I just don't see how Romney doing the same stuff, lying, that Obama did as anything wrong. Just seems like standard fare now in elections. Just fucking lie because people won't remember anyway.
  20. Yah it really doesn't matter fans on both sides become apologists when they hear their candidate is a liar
  21. LOL... Please show us one spot that Obama blatantly lied about something that was on his campaign website... Just 1 will do.

I honestly think Romney didnt know he was lying. He just had no fucking clue what he was running on b/c he doesnt believe in or want it for this nation. The guys a fucking GOP puppet that's saying and doing whatever he has to to get in the white house.

    Really?

How about no lobbyist in his administration. Taken directly from his plan he released for the 08 campaign:

“I am in this race to tell the corporate lobbyists
that their days of setting the agenda in
Washington are over. I have done more than
any other candidate in this race to take on
lobbyists – and won. They have not funded my
campaign, they will not get a job in my White
House, and they will not drown out the voices
of the American people when I am president.”

Or b/c it was from a speech in Des Moines a year b4 the election and not a nationally televised debate a month b4 the election...

I thought he said it more than once but I could be wrong tho. It took me all of about a minute and a half looking through his "blueprint" to find that lie, so I'm sure there are more in there too. The promise to have all the debates on healthcare broadcast on CSPAN is another one that immediately came to mind. Not sure if that was ever listed on his website but he sure as hell didn't keep that promise.

And pistol, what difference does it make that it was 5 years ago? It's still a blatant fucking lie.
  27. Obama's campaign went from "Yes we can" to "No he can't"

Oh and I just shook Paul Ryan's hand, end brag.

If only that was how Romney was positioning it.. Instead he's spewing nonsense about it creating jobs, when thats a flat out lie.
