    So the Simpsons are doing a premier in one of the Springfields around the nation and I think you should all get out there and vote for Illinois since it's obviously the real springfield.

    The real Springfield is actually Kentucky .....
    that was from the first time they ever aired which state they were from ..

    Every time they air it now ... it switches ...

    Interestingly enough the springfield in simpsons has 30,720 population and shelbyville is less than a half hour from springfield Illinois. Whatcha got now

    I just watched the oregon one to see how they could justify them being the right one, and they went on some dumb ass search for homer and bart.

    it was apthetic, they obv don't desserve that.

    IL does not have medicinal marijuana-therefore it cannot be Illinois.

    AK, CA, CO, HI, ME, MT, NV, NM, OR, RI, VT, and WA are possibilities.

    ya keep trying to figure it out it's not like 4 billion simpson's fans have debated this on the interweb for a decade.

    there IS NO REAL ANSWER. springfield in the simpson's is springfield, anystate, anywhere USA. it's not a real city in a real state.

    Wrong it's well known that it's a mixture of Kentucky and Illinois, but kentucky sucks and has redneck aids and weirdos in shacks in the hills, so Illinois wins with normal people

    well yeah everyone knows they don't assign a state to it, but it's fairly easy to see after putting the hints together that it's a mixture of the two I just gave.
