  1. I know this is OT, but this isnt so much about poker as much as its about people who know about the city...

I am planning on moving July 1st to keep playing online, and right now Windsor appears to be the best option as its closest to family and friends, its just across the boarder, and there are casinos in detroit and windsor.

Im a little nervous about it because its right across the Detroit river, and dont really wanna move to the ghetto... Even if it is a good city, most cities have the "bad neighborhood, or side of town". Has anyone in OT been to Windsor ontario, and what are your opnions on it? Im planning on making a list of potential places to live and then checking it out at the end of the month...

And cuz this is OT here are some pics of my favorite canadian women.. feel free to add ur own...

  2. I got trashed once I walked from the club we were partying to the caesars windors as it was pouring rain. I went to bed at 4 30 and woke at 5 and proceeded to lose 150 in an hour playing 1/2. Then I went home.
  3. i've been there for a track meet. i saw a tim horton's.

  5. I have been to Windsor plenty of times. Do you have a car? Are you looking to rent or buy? I would suggest finding a place in one of the smaller town outside of Windsor. Primarily because you will find cheaper living and tbh most likely the parts of Windsor a solo male will be moving into will not be the safest. With that being said, Windsor is like any city, two faces, during the day you can pretty much walk anywhere and you'll be safe, but at night there a certain places you have to avoid. If you got any more questions, please feel free to shoot me a pm and Ill try and respond in a timely manner.
  6. don't move to windsor. guy above me is right, move to a small town outside of it if you must
  7. just move anywhere near the university of windsor. Area is fine. 35k students seem to do okay there
  8. canada has crime now?? tf is the world coming to?
  9. if you move to windsor ... seek out "Shawarma Palace" ... so fucking good.

Mostly due to immigration and the American presence felt in Windsor. Most of the crime occurring tho is relatively victimless, not a horrible place to live, but wouldn't choose to live there if there are other options.
  11. Moving on July 1st is not a good idea. It is Canada Day (like your July 4th) so it is a national holiday.

  15. I had a friend that went to school there. Visited him a couple times. Didn't see too much of the city, but they def had some awesome parties. Definitely get something close to the university (which is near the river). It's twat-central.

    Good luck!
