Never saw it

Wow ... I am in awe of OT for making the correct decision.
Now if only Fargo or The Thin Red Line could win the 90s bracket. -
Nice result. Thanks for organizing and running and tallying Skeeze! Tedious, Im sure, for you, but fun for us!

i have no hope for the '90's bracket after seeing the voting in this one...to each their own, though.
-
I really wanted Inception to win. Half of OT would of gone crazy
-
Really? I think NCFOM was a solid overall choice. I didn't really keep up with specific matchups, but as a whole I think OT got most of it right (though as you say, in the end it's all subjective).
-
agree with no country being a solid choice but some of the later round contenders were kind of ridiculous
-
Thanks for setting it up skeeze.
And thank god Inception didn't win. -
I can't wait for Summer School to win the 80's thread.
-
I'm satisfied. I've never had a bad thing to say about No Country. I just don't think it's as easily rewatchable as other movies, which should factor in when considering a "favorite" movie.
Best movie made in the '00s? Yes.
Favorite movie made in the '00s? No way. -
Requiem for a dream was a great movie, but if u watch it again it'll literally make u sick to your stomach. Still a great film, though. I've watched No Country like 5 times tho and liked it every time, so i gotta disagree with you anyways .
-
given the bracket-system mediocre films are obviously going to sneak into the later rounds. just the nature of the beast.
it would be really boring if everyone just rated the films and the highest score won. -
yea for sure...i voted for it because it was the better movie vs inception. would i rather rewatch inception if I'm just lazing about on a tuesday night? probably yea, but ncfom is the better movie.
-
I've watched it 3 times and I get queasy when she grinds her teeth and shit. Oh man, what a fucking experience watching that film is. Just my opinion tho... have no desire to watch it ever again.
Jared Leto is dreamy. -
Seems spot on to me.
-
Thanks for putting it together, Skeeze.
Zero complaints about the winner. Well deserved. -
No country for old men was one of those films I'd been meaning to see for ages but didn't get to see until this year when my Dad bought it for me on dvd. 10 minutes into the film, I already began to see why this film is so highly acclaimed - the cinematography was amazing. The cat and mouse game that develops between Bardem and Brolin was so tense and suspenseful, it reminded me of the work of Alfred Hitchcock in his prime. When it ended, I realised I had just seen the best film of the last decade.
