dont freak out, its not that bad. just be careful getting out of the chair when you come to after the nitrous. i felt like i could stand up no prob but when I did i almost busted my ass
-
I had them done 3 sep times. Once 2 then 1 and 1 more. Never had nitrous cuz that stuff is just used to relax the patient. The worst part is all the shots to the jaw and the roof of your mouth. They are no big deal to get out and if anybody ever died from the procedure it would be on the national news.
-
why exactly does this have to been done, this is just something the dentist have you do for no reason at all, unless of course they are telling you that they are rotten and falling apart or something, I still have my wisdom teeth and dentists have been telling me forever to take them out. dont do it.
-
Just do what they tell you to do after surgery and you'll be fine in a week, it isn't open heart surgery so you shouldn't be that worried about anything.
-
lol i know what your saying, but i'd listen to the dentist. they have the potential to cause you problems later in life. nothing is worse than dental problems imo --- very expensive and extremely painful

All four are grown in but one is crooked. They say that it is pushing against one of my molars so it is best to get it out since that area will be tough to keep cavity-free and may create pain in the future. Apparently if you pull one, you should pull atleast the one on it's same side b/c they need one another to support. -
Not all of us have the jaw space for the 3rd molars. Some people never have them come in at all. I think humans used to have 5 slots at one point and now its headed to 2.

I put mine off for 10 years, just finally had them done a couple months ago. They did mine as an outpatient procedure at the hospital.
You can't eat the night before, so schedule as early in the morning as possible. I was put under and had all 4 taken out, they were all impacted. I was going to try and not take the percs, but that notion ended with in the first couple minutes of waking up from my post anesthia nap. I took them more for the discomfort and sensitivity then anything else.
Anytime i ate, i would rinse with salt water. Lots of pudding, yogurt, and cheesy mash potatoes for about a week or two.
you'll be fine, just follow the instructions, gl -
thats fucking dirty!

All I am saying is that they can tell you all these things just to get you in there to do it to get the insurance $$, if they are not hurting/bothering you, then I dont see the point, I mean I would rather have more teeth than less, and they will be just as easy to maintain as the rest of your teeth, normal brushing, flossing, and the use of a flouride added rinse (Dr. reccomended ACT mouth rinse) will keep your wisdom teeth in the same shape as the rest of your teeth.

Why do you listen when he tells you to use a specific rinse buy not when he tells you that you need to get your wisdom teeth pulled?
-
had mine done last summer, fuckers were in there deep and they took forever to heal, it was a shitty few weeks and gg 2k
-
if you are a smoker, make sure you dont smoke for a week or so after getting them out, you don't want to get dry socket
-
i had no complications whatsoever getting mine out... i actually had to be carried to the car and in the house since i was still woozy from the meds....
but my co-worker just told me that when he had his out a few years ago, they actually broke his jaw and then he had to deal with that for 6 weeks...
i think if they aren't bothering you and don't have cavities why should they be pulled? -
I had the lastest pulled in July and WORKED afterwords. its not a big deal....YOU WILL BLEED A LOT...dont let that freak you out
-
Its not bad, but like Glo4m said, do everything you can to not get dry socket. Hurts like a son of a bitch
-
dentist always tells me i need to take them out but they dont bother me at all.
-
Well its is Dr. recommended but with a little research you can make informative decisions on your own, and since the OP was having his teeth pulled by Dr. recommendations I figured that it would help to strengthen my point by also mentioning that the rinse is Dr. approved.

Been telling me for 25 years and have never had an issue -
Same here still have mine. They don't hurt so I'm not messing with my 37 year surgery free streak...

entrapment, obv..

Not planning on getting mine out unless they hurt or there is some sort of problem with em. Esp since they may break your jaw if they cant get them out and I had that happen once already in my lifetime and am never dealing with that shit again....

If you smoke. Dont after you have this done. Because it will cause dry socket and that hurts like a son of a bitch. You can smoke after it has healed!!
