  7. i am 9 days removed from having mine out, and im pretty much back to normal. had them out on the 27th... the pain wasnt too bad but it was a pain in the ass to have to eat so carefully. (still is)

  8. (brag post) I didn't have any wisdom teeth.
  9. wisdom= easy

    tonsils= hard

    man up
  10. it's aggnar fun
  11. Hello Vicodin and lots of sleep...
  12. I'd have my wisdom teeth and tonsils out everday compared to appendix or gall bladder.... both of which i've had removed in the past 12 months.....

i agree with whoever said to save the vicodin for alcohol... they are too weak alone....

    percocets are good though.....

a little word of advice though......

DON'T take your stiches out with your tongue.... makes for a bad checkup
  13. I got my wisdom teeth taken out on a Thursday and I was back at school partying on Saturday already. Although you aren't supposed to smoke cigs or drink alcohol (exception for vodka) I did both, but I mostly drank jello shots but I still smoked cigs and I didn't get whatever it is they call it that you can get from smoking after this operation
  14. Thats what I did too, I kept smoking cigs and pot about a day after I got mine out.....I just took more pennicilin(er whatever that shit is).
  15. DO NOT smoke cigarettes, no matter what these guys say. if you do, you have huge risk of alveolar osteitis commonly called a dry socket. It hurts like hell. I had a marine as one of my patients and he said it hurt worse than being stabbed or shot and had been through both. make sure you keep the healing sites clean and bags of ice work well. it will take a while to heal so just be patient. if you have any questions pm me, I take them out for patients almost everyday. GL
  16. mine didn't hurt at all, i just took aleve
  17. Dry Sockets, that is what it was

I guess I was one of the lucky ones then. I smoked like a chimney almost immediately...
  18. that does suck. once that medication wears off it gets pretty bad. especially when you first wake up in the morning
  19. Yeah, guess I was lucky too. I mean i did almost wait half the 24 hours to smoke ...
  20. yep brag post here too. Got mine out about 3 months ago, and the eating part was the worst. I dropped 10-15 lbs in two weeks of minimal eating. What sucked was having to clean the sockets out after I got done eating. But it'll get better.
  21. I thought squriting the waterin there felt good
  22. I got mine out today :( :( :( :(

Vicodin is good so far though. That warm feeling in my mouth isn't.... I''m sick of spitting blood already.
  23. Did they give you gauze? If you put a bit of gauze near both wounds, and apply some pressure, the bleed ing is no problem.

  24. Yea they did, but after 2 hrs i just hated having it in my mouth. The vicodin is awesome for the pain though. My only problem was that earlier I heard a really really really loud pop while spitting out mouthwash from the area where one of them was removed.... it hurt like a bastard and I have no idea what it was. Worst pain I have felt in a long time, and I would love to know what the pop was.
  25. You should only keep the gauze in 30-45 minuets every few hours. They let you use mouthwash?

  26. It was probably your stitches. When I had mine taken out I got sick and thew up and my stitches poped out in the process. NOT FUN. Take your pain killers w/ a shot of whiskey
  27. yea, they gave me this mouthwash i can use, and I kind of think that it was my stitches that popped cause it was bleeding really bad after that. Right now it stopped. Maltz did you get your's out today too? I hope they gave you vicodin, thats the only good part.
  28. i think i got lucky, when i got mine out last week they didnt bleed much, and pretty much stopped completly bleeding within 24 hrs. The pain wasnt all that bad either, i dont know if it was because i was taking 800mg ibuprofeins + vikadin or that i just got lucky. The experience wasnt too bad, i just got tired of pudding after day 2.

my right cheek is still kind of numb from it, and this is like 10 days after.. oh well... hopefully it goes away..haha

my lip was so numb the first day that i had to grab it with my fingers and place it on a cup when i wanted to drink soemthing, because i had no feeling. it was odd

  29. Mine weren't so bad either.

None were compacted, all came out fine, and the pain wasn't unbearable.

I stayed home from school for a day, and was back the next day. I even practiced (bball) the next day as well. I was really lucky.

The coolest part of the whole thing, besides the Vicodin, was when the doctor told me to count backwards from 100 after putting my IV in. I made it to about 98 and was knocked the hell out...
