Pretty cool development.
Kyle Stanley had a big lead last week and lost when he dunked his approach on 18.
This week, trailing by 8 or so going into the final round, he is now in the lead. Spencer Levin's turn to be the goat. -
just turned on, thx
-
Been watching pretty gross.if levin loses.
-
Levin can still come back to win but he's a nervous / fast kind of player - should be interesting.
-
I think Levin made like 3 or 4 long par savers early in the round - he's putting lights out but has hit it in some bad spots.
-
Levin could have an all out emo breakdown before this is over lol.
-
cactus thorns in the torso was rather amusing.
-
This has to be one of the worst finishes in tournament history...barring some great play on 18. Nobody wants to win, and Stanley is going to win by default.
-
this is so bad its awesome
-
would be huge for Stanley if he could win this after his meltdown last week

Edited By: marinersheep Feb 5th, 2012 at 10:41 PMHow can you say this? Stanley is -6 on the day and just made two unbelieeeeeevable up-and-downs on 16 and 17.Originally Posted by JRoth15

edit: technically only one up-and-down, but you know what I mean. -
awesome - i was holding my breath on that last putt
-
pfffft. he shot a 66 in the final round. Not a win by default. he had a lot of help but he still had to go low. And he did.
-
Awesome final round.

:))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
But seriously that was a great finish. Stanely didn't choke last week imo, he just hit a shot that sucked back a lot more than it should've but Levin fell apart today. Really impressive of Stanley to come back after last week though I thought when his first putt on 18 went flyin by the cup that he was gonna miss the comeback -
agree. Usually JRoth is good in golf threads, but that comment was off base. Not like Stanley shot 73 and won cause everyone else shit the bed.

Levin continues to not be capable of closing. -
lol do you guys read? i said one of the worst finishes in tournament history...never said anything about Stanley playing bad in final round.

he did hit some pretty awful shots down the stretch tho...just followed them with either a great pitch or great putt--which was good enough to win with Levin puking all over himself (and everybody else).
in order to make the unbelieeeeeeeeeeevable up & downs, he had to hit a miserable shot to get to that spot...especially on 16. no idea what some of those guys were doing going after that flag. was absolutely retarded...if you land it 1 centimeter behind the hole, the ball is gone and you have an IMPOSSIBLE chip shot with no green to work with. yet, we saw about 15 guys in the last 8 pairings fly the green. just retarded stuff...
so yah...i'll stick with my initial reaction...that was some miserably bad golf down the stretch. -
sadie ?

agree with jroth
awful awful awful
