There's no app for that - but maybe a saw would help.

A South Carolina woman claims she purchased what she thought was an iPad, but it turned out to just be a block of painted wood with an Apple logo.
Ashley McDowell, 22, told officers from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's office that she was in a McDonald's parking lot Monday night when two men approached her and offered to sell her the glitzy tablet computer.
The men - one of whom had a gold tooth - claimed they bought the iPads in bulk and were selling them for just $300, well below their $499 list price, according to a police report obtained by The Smoking Gun.
When McDowell explained that she only had $180, the two men quickly relented - and offered to sell the iPad at a further discount.

pro tip: the only thing you should buy off of a guy in a van in a parking lot is fresh shellfish ldo
-
I don't think these guys should be arrested. It's too awesome a scam to get arrested for.
-
reminds me of those stories you used to hear of people selling perfume. Except it wasn't, perfume, it was like sleeping gas or some shit and they would get you to smell it, you would pass out, and they would rob you...fucking bizarre stuff people are crazy.
-
the gold tooth should have been her first clue
-
Whats wrong with that picture tho? If thats how it looked, why did they even waste their time. That looks like they lit it on fire first.
Outstanding scam tho. -
LMAO!
-
So does she get burned twice, meaning do the cops keep the block of wood as evidence?

might as well have posted the last couple paragraphs. i think the pics are after it's dusted for prints. and she didnt even see it when she gave them the money(not sure if thats better or worse). it was in a fedex box she opened when she got home. not sure why they went to the trouble even pasting icons on it.
