  1. I am in sales right now, I sell phones for Sprint. I recently submitted some apps looking for a new job. This is a decent gig right now, but I don't want to sell phones for the rest of my life. I submitted an app to this compnay called Bankers Life and Casualty Company and they set up a interview for me. Little did I know it was a group interview with about 25 ppl in it. I don't have a degree at all, but I do have 2 years sales experience. When interview started the person asked everyone to tell little about themselves. Everyone was like I went to Pitt graduated, went to Penn State, West Chester, etc....and I am like shit man I don't even have a degree. It comes to me an I say quote "I went community college for a year for business unfortunately I didn't finish I work in sales right now tho. I take pride in my job and I'm good at it. everyone kinda looked at me like ????? Anyway long story short dude called me bak next day and wants one on one tomorro. Question is if I get job, is a good career path? It's commision based with bonuses and compensation packages. Just wanted to get everyones serious opinion here. I love sales by the way.

  2. How the fuck would be be able to tell you that with the info you have given. If its more money/resposibility and there are a lot of people with degrees trying to get the job my guess would be yes.

Pics of the hottest chicks from your group interview for more advice.

    LOL YEP
  4. I applied to that place a long time ago and could tell it was shady right from the get, the thing that sucks is they won't stop calling me to ask if I want another opportunity to interview.
  5. More than half of new insurance producers flame out. It's a tough gig. Go for it.
  6. Keep your current job and go back to that community college and finish up that degree.

Selling insurance can be soul crushing.

This is certainly true. However, you say you love sales which is a good indicator that you may do well with this position. I have a friend who is an insurance agent for a local agency, and he makes well over 6 figures per year and loves his job.

Most of his money is purely residual (commission from past sales), so he is banking without actually working for it.

If you love sales/cold calling, and have a high tolerance for rejection... I say go for it... you can make tons of money doing this. Successful insurance salespeople are among the highest paid people on the planet. The flip side is that not many people are cut out for it, so there is a very high rate of turn over.

    imo fwiw
  8. One of my good friends sell insurance. He does very, very well. I also know about 10 other people who tried selling insurance and failed.

It takes a special type of person. Good Luck!
  9. I would say no, but I also don't really like sales jobs much either.
