Would This be the greatest band/album of all time?

    Let's say I went back in time and Stole all of the more popular songs of generations and made them in one album today. So let's say I have a band and I release a cd with songs from the best punk,rap,alternative,indie,rock,country etc. Would I be the greatest band ever and pretty much everyone would love me because I have the greatest songs of every genere or will they think we have no image because at one point I am rapping eminem's " the way I am" but later in the set we are playing blink 182 or some country or even metal. Would my band fail because we have no set image or would people ignore it and think wow all these songs are great?

    it would be a great now that's what i call music vol 75 album, but it wouldnt be the greatest album

    Well this would be all from one band not multiple so it would be better than a now cd.

    Seems a lot of hassle to go back picking and choosing songs from all diff artists and genres when you can just go back and get the Beatles stuff and become the greatest band + albums of all time

    Your band would suck, because "The Way I Am" and Blink 182 songs are not anywhere near the top of the list of the best songs of all time.
